In the latest interaction, the fast bowler's wife, Sanjana Ganesan, asked him about the reports of him wanting to move abroad. Talking about the same, Jasprit Bumrah revealed that he wanted to make it big in the cricket world, and considering the competition, he decided to have a backup plan. He added that his relatives lived in Canada, so he thought of moving there with his family after completing his education, but his mother was reluctant to do so. In Jasprit's words:
"We have had these conversations before. Every boy wants to make it big and play cricket. Every street has 25 players who want to play for India. You have to have a backup plan. Our relative lives there. I thought I would finish my education, and...my uncle lives there. First, we thought we would go as a family, then my mum did not want to go there as it's a different culture."
