Jasmin Bhasin Suffers Corneal Damage After Lens Mishap, 'I Couldn't See Anything, Pain Intensified'

Jasmin Bhasin is a popular face in the telly world, and she never misses a chance to swoon our hearts with her bubbly nature. The actress is in a happy and healthy relationship with her beau, Aly Goni, and their fans have been waiting for the duo to announce their wedding. However, amid all this, Jasmin experienced a mishap, and she suffered from corneal damage.

Jasmin Bhasin faces a lens mishap at an event

In an interview with the ETimes, Jasmin Bhasin revealed that she is facing a challenging phase in her life. She added that she is coping with her bandaged eye after suffering corneal damage caused by a lens mishap. Jasmin shared that she was in Delhi for an event, and as soon as she wore her lens, her eyes started hurting. In her words:

"I was in Delhi for an event on July 17, for which I was preparing. I don't know what exactly went wrong with my lens, but after wearing it, my eyes started hurting, and the pain gradually intensified."

Jasmin Bhasin reveals being diagnosed with corneal damage

Jasmin recalled that though she wanted to see a doctor, she chose to participate in the event first due to work commitments. She wore sunglasses throughout the event and couldn't see properly after a while. So, when she visited an eye specialist at night, she was diagnosed with corneal damage. In her words:

"I wanted to see a doctor, but due to work commitments, I decided to participate in the event first and then visit the doctor. I wore sunglasses during the event and the team helped me with handling things, as I couldn't see properly after a while. We went to an eye specialist late at night, who diagnosed me with corneal damage and placed bandages on my eyes."

Jasmin Bhasin can't sleep at night due to excessive pain

Talking about her current condition, Jasmin expressed that she was in a lot of pain but would recover in the next four to five days. She has bandages on her eyes and she has been taking good care of herself so that she could recover quickly. In her words:

"I am in a lot of pain. Doctors have told me I should recover in the next four to five days, but until then, I need to take good care of my eyes. It's not easy because I can't see properly and the pain makes it difficult even to sleep. Fortunately, I didn't have to postpone any of my commitments. I hope to recover in a few days and get back to work."
