Lord Krishna is among the most powerful and most-followed deities in Hinduism. The eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, Krishna is also called as the God of compassion, love, protection, and, most importantly, righteousness. Known by a series of names like amodara, gopala, gopinath, govinda, keshava, madhava, vasudeva, and many others, Krishna’s devotees are present in different parts of the world.

Hence, every year Krishna's birth is celebrated by his devotees across the globe on the ashtami of Krishna Paksha in Shravana Masa (according to the amanta tradition) or Bhadrapada Masa (according to the purnimanta tradition). This overlaps with August or September of the Gregorian calendar.
On the occasion of Krishna’s birth, which is known as Krishna Janmashtami, many television channels run special episodes to celebrate the auspicious day. As we all know, over the years, we have seen many shows centred around Lord Krishna and television actors putting up a solid portrayal of him. The iconic actor, Nitish Bharadwaj is a part of almost everyone’s core memory, as he is still remembered for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in B.R. Chopra's television series, Mahabharat.
The way Nitish Bharadwaj portrayed the character of Krishna and how he acted during the battle of Kurukshetra and Geeta Gyan is beyond words. For the unversed, Nitish Bharadwaj’s fee for playing Krishna in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat was reportedly just Rs. 3000 for a single episode back in the 1980s.

The show cemented Saurabh’s stature as one of the most famous television actors in India, courtesy of how beautifully he played Lord Krishna on screen. As per reports, Saurabh Raaj charged Rs. 2.50 lakhs per episode.

Popular actor, Saurabh Pandey is another renowned name in the television industry. The handsome actor has been a part of the telly industry for so many years, but his role in the epic serial, Suryaputra Karn still lives on in his fans' memories.
Saurabh portrayed the character of Lord Krishna in the show, and people were in love with his acting range. According to the reports, Saurabh reportedly charged between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.50 lakhs per episode.

The young actor, Sumedh Madgalkar has managed to make a place in the hearts of viewers with his portrayal of a young Krishna in Star Bharat’s famous show, RadhaKrishn.
Whether we talk about his lovely chemistry with ‘Radha’ (Mallika Singh) and ‘Rukmini’ (Zalak Desai) or heated exchanges, Sumedh has proved the mettle of his acting skills. As per multiple reports, the handsome actor reportedly charged a sum of Rs. 65,000 per episode.
Over the decades, we have seen so many child actors playing the role of baby Krishna in television shows and movies, and nearly all of them did an excellent job. However, if we had to choose one child actor, who simply ticked all the boxes, it has to be Dhriti Bhatia.
The child actor had a lasting impression on people’s minds even to this very day, courtesy of her expressions and acting chops.
