It is interesting to note that both will be sharing screen space for the second time, following Bawaal. During the trailer launch event, the actress was asked about the qualities she wanted to see in a life partner before getting married. In the trailer launch event, the actress did not shy away from holding her thoughts and shared:

"Bahut saari qualities chahiye mujhe, pehle toh sanskari hona chahiye, dusra sense of humour hona chahiye aur appetite bahut bada hona chahiye."

The trailer launch event of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari took an interesting turn when Rohit, who plays Janhvi's ex in the movie, was asked to propose to the actress. One of the reporters told the male stars to propose to Janhvi, and so Varun took the name of Rohit. He laughed out loud and hinted at Janhvi dating Shikhar as he said:

"Main Shikhar se maar nahi khaunga bhai."

Rohit's indirect, subtle comment on Janhvi's real-life relationship with Shikhar has hinted at a possible romantic link between the two. However, it is interesting to note that neither Shikhar nor Janhvi has commented officially on their relationship. However, both of them have often been seen together at many social as well as personal occasions. It is interesting to note that their dating history is linked to their teenage years. Reportedly, Janhvi and Shikhar first started dating in 2016, but they separated. Their romance was rekindled in 2022.

Janhvi and Shikhar's rumoured relationship grabbed the limelight when she wore a necklace with 'Shikhu' written on it. Earlier, in an interview with Brides Today, she had once spoken about her wedding plans and shared how she always wanted to marry at the Tirupati temple. Janhvi noted:

"I visit Tirupati a lot. And when taking such a big step in my life, I’d want to get married there, with the person that I love. Also, in the past, I attended the wedding of a family member there...and really enjoyed it. I don’t like big weddings — they’re fun to attend, but being the centre of attention at such a big event will give me too much anxiety!"
