On February 24, 2018, the world stood in shock when we all learnt that Sridevi had passed away. Since then, her elder daughter and actress, Janhvi Kapoor has been in the limelight, and even today, she is often asked about her mother and how she dealt with the trauma.
It was in 2018 when Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut with Dharma Productions' film, Dhadak. Sadly, Sridevi could not witness her daughter’s stardom. There has not been a single day when Janhvi Kapoor does not miss the presence of her mother. And in a recent press conference, the star daughter revealed whether she would star in her late mother’s biopic.

Janhvi Kapoor is busy promoting her upcoming film, Mili and during a press conference when Janhvi was asked whether she would act in her mom’s biopic if it is ever made. The star kid replied, ‘No, I wouldn’t be.’ When quipped further to share the reason behind the same, the gorgeous actress gave a sassy reply and said:
“Sir abhi wo bahut lamba answer hai aur mujhe bahut bhook lagi hai aur mujhe rona nahi hai stage pe.”

Janhvi Kapoor had always dreamt of joining Bollywood, but Sridevi was not very keen on her daughter’s dream. In an interview with ETimes, Janhvi talked about her mother, Sridevi’s first reaction when she had shown a keen interest in joining Bollywood and told her about her acting dreams. Sridevi’s instant response to the same was, “don’t get into it”. According to Sridevi, she had worked hard all the years to give a comfortable life to her daughters, which the industry can never provide as Janhvi would have to face a lot of challenges and could also get hurt.

In her first-ever formal interview post her mother’s demise, Janhvi talked about coping with the tragedy. While talking to Vogue in an interview taken by Karan Johar, Janhvi talked about her mother, Sridevi and revealed her last words to her before she left for Dubai. She had said:
“I could always be the baby with her. When I’d wake up, the first thing I’d do was ask for her. I’d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me. The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, “I need you to come and put me to sleep.” But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head.”
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in the film, Mili, a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Helen!
