Jaideep Ahlawat's Look In 'The Family Man 3' Was Taken From His Instagram Feed, Reveals Creator, DK

The recently released show, The Family Man Season 3, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat is grabbing a lot of attention, for all the right reasons. Among everything else, it is Jaideep Ahlawat's long hair, rugged beard and intense eyes, which is making the rounds on the internet. Now, the co-creator of the show, DK has opened up about the same look and shared an interesting detail about it.

Recently, the co-creator of the show, DK and actor, Jaideep Ahlawat sat down for a candid conversation with NDTV, during which they opened up about Jaideep’s intense look as ‘Rukma’. Talking about the same, DK shared that he did not have any look test or experiments with Jaideep, rather he came across the perfect look from Jaideep’s Instagram feed itself. He was quoted as saying:

"It's basically a picture. One of the pictures from his Insta page at some point of his life. We were thinking of Jaideep, and the last time we had seen him was as Hathiram- the cop look. That's the one look we knew we didn't want. We needed him to look the exact opposite of Hathiram. And then someone from my team found this picture and shared it. The moment we saw it, we just knew — this is the look."

DK continued to reveal that once they came across the photo, there was no turning back. The team didn’t even discuss it any further and finalised the look. He also mentioned that when he discussed the same look with Jaideep Ahlawat, he felt as if the actor was wondering how he would grow his hair again. In his words:

"When I met him, I showed him the picture and said, We will give you this look. I don't know what he was thinking at that point. I think he was thinking, God! I need to grow my hair again."

During the same conversation with NDTV, Jaideep Ahlawat shared his thoughts on the look for The Family Man 3 and mentioned that after the look was finalised, he started trying on wigs. He shared that even though, he didn’t want a wig as they are difficult to handle, he had no option other than that. Jaideep further continued that if it would have been his real hair, he would have played with them a lot during the shoot. He shared:

"I hate wigs, to be honest. It's a pain, and I sweat a lot, so it's double the pain. You can't play with it, it can come off basically. It restricts your movement. But if it looks good, then we try to manage it. It's (the photo) from 2021, in Ooty. I was shooting Bloody Brothers. If I would have had my real hair, mazaa hi aajata. In every scene, I would have kept opening it and tying it back."
