Jacqueline Fernandez is one of the most well-known and beautiful actresses in Bollywood. The Sri Lankan beauty began her career as a model and won the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant in 2006 before she stepped into Bollywood. Jacqueline has been a part of successful films like Kick, Race 3, and Murder 2, and she creates a special place for herself in the hearts of audiences. Despite her professional success, the actress' personal life has often been the center of attention. In an interview, Jacqueline revealed how she deals with the media scrutiny around her personal life and her language barrier in Hindi.
Jacqueline Fernandez sat down for an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia and discussed her journey in the Hindi film industry. For the last couple of years, Jacqueline has been in the limelight due to her alleged affair with a conman, Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who has been behind bars for a long time now. For the unversed, the actress has often been called by the legal authorities for interrogation related to his case. Moreover, Sukesh frequently writes open letters addressing the actress, which go viral.

Jacqueline shared that she knew there was always a bright and a negative side to being an actress. However, she has given up the need to be constantly loved by the audience, which has helped her stay calm and humble in trying situations. Moreover, the actress mentioned that she often meditates, which allows her overcome her fear and maintain a strong bond with her family. This allow her deal with the extreme scrutiny of her personal life. She was quoted as saying:
"Positives and negatives are always going to be there...But what has helped me the most is giving up this constant desire and need to be loved and realising that this is truly the last illusion we all have and that we all face. This is what has kept me free, humble, and calm. I believe in God, I always have. It's an extremely strong force in my life. And because of that, I never really fear anything. I meditate often. Now I'm able to distinguish between right and wrong people, and I keep my family and good people close."
Due to her personal life, Jacqueline has been on the receiving end of trolling. So, when the actress was asked about her biggest challenge as an actor, she mentioned fame and lack of privacy. She said people forget to consider an actor's feelings when scrutinising their personal lives. The actress mentioned how it is essential for actors to develop a thicker skin to negativity. But Jacqueline admitted that it feels horrible to read fake stories and gossip that goes around in the media. In her words:
"Despite the fame or whatever it is, you need to be used to the trolling and develop a thicker skin. But no one likes to hear horrible things about themselves, or, you know, unfair things, rumours, gossip, you know, you just have to bear with that. Because I would say the hardest thing about being an actor is fame. You will never have your privacy intact."
Jacqueline Fernandez was raised in Bahrain and doesn't have a good fluency in speaking Hindi language. The actress recalled that the critics harshly criticised her during her initial years in Bollywood due to it. Although, she is still dealing with the language barrier, she has developed and is now looking forward to improving it more. She said:

"Honestly, I'm still managing the language barrier. I train and work hard on it—speaking and performing in a language that is not my mother tongue and battling a perception that I am weak in the language. I remember my initial years as well. It was a nightmare for me because I was badgered by the critics pretty harshly."
On the work front, Jacqueline was last seen in the popular music video, Yimmy Yimmy. She will next be seen in Hindi films like Fateh and Welcome To The Jungle.
