Saying their vows in a castle in Paris, to having Maroon 5 perform at their wedding, Jacob and Madelaine became social media sensations overnight with their grand wedding. 

Two years after the unforgettable lavish affair, the couple's marriage has hit a huge snag. Jacob LaGrone is facing serious criminal charges and may serve a life sentence. Who are Madelaine Brockway and her husband, Jacob Lagrone? 

Madelaine Brockway was born to influential parents involved in the automobile industry. Her father, Robert Brockway, is the CEO of Ussery Automotive Group. Meanwhile, Madelaine's mother, Paula, is the Vice President of the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Coral Gables. Many reports describe Madelaine as an entrepreneur as well. However, not much is known about Jacob LaGrone's life before his wedding to Madelaine. As per his LinkedIn profile, Jason worked as a former production assistant for singer, Jason Aldean in 2018, during his college days. Several reports suggest that he is self-employed.

According to the Daily Mail, Madelaine and Jacob met in 2020 and started dating. In 2023, they tied the knot in an unforgettable grand affair in Paris, captured on viral social media clips and witnessed by the whole world. Jacob and Madelaine said their vows on Nov 18, 2023, at Chateau de Villette, a grand French palace. Prior to the main ceremony, they also had a four-day soiree. These included a grand lunch at the Chanel Haute Couture Suite, a night stay at the actual Palace of Versailles, cocktails at Arc de Triomphe, and dinner in the Paris Opera House. 

For the unversed, a sleepover at the nicest suite of the Palace of Versailles costs over USD 14,000. According to estimates, the entire wedding of Jacob LaGrone and Madelaine Brockway would have reportedly cost around USD 59 million. Apart from the opulent locations, the couple also had Adam Levine of Maroon 5 perform at the wedding and spent a lot on clothes and jewellery at the themed parties. All of these details were covered in Madelaine's social media account, which went viral.    

Jacob LaGrone's felony charges and his alleged crime 

As per reports, Jacob opened fire on police officers in March 2023, months prior to his November 2023 wedding. Three North Texas police officers arrived at the scene to address a call about multiple disturbances by a gun. Jacob reportedly fired his weapon at them. He was arrested and charged with the crime of attacking a public servant. In Texas, this is treated as a first-degree felony and could lead to Jacob serving a life sentence. 

According to reports, Jacob was accused of firing at the police officers 'intentionally'. Although he was released on a USD 20,000 bond, the legal battle is still afoot. On November 30, 2023, two weeks after his viral wedding, Jacob appeared for a court hearing, but his newlywed wife reportedly did not accompany him.

Earlier it was suggested that Jacob LaGrone will be appearing for the hearing in mid-November 2025. However, according to a recent People report, he is said to be scheduled for the next hearing in January 2026. In the upcoming court appearance, a plea deal can be reached between him and the other party. Otherwise, the legal battle will proceed to trial. However, this turmoil has not hindered the opulent lifestyle of Jacob and his wife. Jacob and Madelaine have been on many vacations since their marriage, despite public scrutiny and felony charges. 

However, Madelaine seems to have stepped back from social media. She stopped posting on her Instagram after her marriage went viral. But then she started sharing a few glimpses of their travels starting from 2024. However, Madelaine hasn't been as active on Instagram as she was before. In January 2025 she took to her Instagram handle to announce that her and Jacob were expecting their first baby. Following this the few photos that Madelaine has posted on her account have all been about her pregnacy and baby. She shared a snap of herself in April showcasing her baby bump. Then in June 2025, Madelaine announced the birth of her baby. Sharing that her baby's name is Rhone Day, Madelaine wrote:

"Happy due date Rhône Day. With you everything finally makes sense. I cannot believe I get the privilege of loving you for the rest of time. Thank you for letting me be your mommy."

Jacob Lagrone on the other hand has a private Instagram account with 2400 followers. He was seen in a few Instagram posts with Madelaine and was tagged in the baby announcement as well, but Jacob has kept a low profile for the most part. Jacob was seen in public on November 2023, for hearing related to the case. However, as his bodygaurd forcibly blocked the cameras of the paparazzi Jacob recieved a lot of backlash. Since, his felony charges also made headlines a few weeks after his viral wedding, Jacob has laid low for the time being.
