Regina Cassandra: Played Wife Of 33 Years Older Sunny Deol, Wedding Rumours With Allu Arjun's Cousin

Jaat movie has been released in theatres, and as per the first reviews, the thriller is full of powerpack moments of real and raw action. Although the movie's flow is debatable, but the viewers have enjoyed lead actors, Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda's intense scenes throughout the film. The audience was on the edge of their seats whenever the two actors shared the screen. The film is directed by Gopichand Malineni, who has previously made films like Don Seenu, Bodyguard, Balupu, Pandaga Chesko, Winner, and Krack. 

Apart from Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda in lead roles, Jaat features an impressive line-up of recognised actors like Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Zarina Wahab, and Dayanand Shetty. Since the film's release in theatres, the spotlight has been on Jaat's lead actress, Regina Cassandra, who plays the character of Sunny Deol's onscreen wife in the film. The actress looked stunning throughout the film and played her role beautifully.

For the uninitiated, Sunny Deol is 67, Regina is 34, and some netizens found the age of 33 years between them too much. Both the actors aced their roles; while Sunny looked top-notch as 'Brigadier Balbir Pratap Singh', Regina aced her role as 'Bharathi Ranatunga'.

Moving on to Regina Cassandra's personal life, she was born on December 13, 1990, in Madras, into a Tamil family. She was just nine years old when she started anchoring for the famous kid's channel, Splash. The stunning actress holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Chennai's Women's Christian College. For post-graduation, Regina took admission to University of Madras and completed a master's degree in Science in Counseling Psychology.

Once, in an old interview with Suman TV, Regina Cassandra opened up about her dating rumours. The actress admitted that she had dated so many men in her life and called herself a 'serial dater'. She further added that she no longer wanted to indulge in relationships as she was trying to take a break from all of this. When Regina was asked about the kind of men she would like to date when she comes out of her break, the actress said he should be secure and respect her independence. She said:

"I have had many relationships in my life; I'm a serial dater, but I'm taking a break now. I'm so straightforward that I've had ex-boyfriends' parents ask me about the things I say. But, I can't lie."

One of Regina Cassandra's most-talked-about alleged affairs was when, back in 2019, she was linked with popular South Indian actor, Sai Dharam Tej. For the uninitiated, Sai Dharam is the son of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan's real sister, Vijaya Durga. The actor bonds closely with his cousins, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun. Returning to Regina and Sai Dharam Tej's dating rumours, it all started when some media publication speculated that they'd been seeing each other for years.

Rumours exploded when Sai Dharam Tej jokingly said that he had secretly gotten married to Regina in 2017. Although the actor said this out of frustration in response to the repeated questions about his and Regina's dating reports, but it made the situation even worse for the duo. As a result, Regina Cassandra came forward and dropped an official press statement in which she denied all the speculations about being secretly married or dating anyone. The actress indirectly ended all speculations by saying that the only love of her life is her work. She said:

"Over the past few days, I have come across quite a few linkup rumours between me and one of my co-stars. I'd like to make it clear that these articles are baseless rumours. The only love in my life right now is my work and if there is anything else, you will hear from me."

Apart from Sai Dharam Tej, Regina Cassandra has been linked with another famous South Indian actor, Sundeep Kishan. Just like in Sai Dharam Tej's case, there were rumours that Regina and Sudeep had married secretly, but all that was completely true. Fast forward to 2025, and Regina is currently focused on her work as she continues to grab big-budget projects professionally.
