HBO Max’s chilling new series IT: Welcome to Derry continues to build momentum as Episode 3, titled Now You See It, gears up for release on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Set in the cursed town of Derry, Maine, this episode promises to dive deeper into the haunting mysteries that have begun to surface, blending psychological terror with the supernatural in classic Stephen King fashion.
IT: Welcome to Derry, which is building serious momentum heading into week 3. The HBO Max prequel returns tomorrow with Now You See It, continuing the weekly Sunday release schedule. HBO will premiere episode 3 of IT: Welcome To Derry on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET. A prequel to Stephen King’s IT and the two-part film adaptation directed by Andy Muschietti, Welcome to Derry expands on the mythology of ‘Pennywise’ and the origins of the town’s evil.
Set in 1962, the series follows the lives of ordinary citizens as they begin to experience strange phenomena, disappearances, disturbing visions, and a rising sense of dread. Episode 3 marks a turning point, taking viewers closer to the horrifying events that will one day awaken ‘Pennywise the Dancing Clown.’ Episode 3, Now You See It, introduces a more complex subplot involving ‘Major Leroy Hanlon,’ a military officer stationed at the local U.S. Air Base. The military’s involvement adds a fresh twist, suggesting that even national institutions aren’t immune to the town’s sinister pull.
So far, IT: Welcome To Derry has received praise for its world-building and slow-burning suspense. The 1960s setting, complete with period-accurate details and haunting visuals, adds a layer of authenticity that enhances the storytelling. Episode 3 continues that tradition, drawing audiences deeper into the mystery while setting the stage for the chaos to come.

With eight episodes in total, IT: Welcome to Derry is scheduled to conclude on December 14, 2025, promising a slow descent into madness that will connect directly to the events of IT. Episode 3, therefore, is a crucial mid-season installment that not only raises the stakes but also begins answering key questions about the origins of the terror that haunts Derry.
Episode 2 dropped early on Halloween, October 31, 2025. Now, the series settles into traditional Sunday time slots for the remaining six episodes. As fans prepare for its premiere, one thing is sure: the shadows of Derry are growing darker, and the horror has only just begun.
