Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth are one of the cutest couples in the telly world. The couple never fails to swoon hearts with their adorable chemistry and camaraderie, and their PDA moments are a treat for their fans. For the unversed, the duo tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in Juhu’s ISCKON in November 2017. Some years later, in July 2023, Ishita and Vatsal welcomed their baby boy, Vaayu. And now, as their son has completed six months, the couple has hosted an annaprashan ceremony.
Taking to her IG handle, Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth, in a collaborative post, dropped adorable glimpses of their baby boy, Vaayu’s rice-eating ceremony, also known as annaprashan. The baby boy turned all but six months old, and his parents celebrated his milestone achievement with a homely celebration. In the glimpses, Vaayu, who wore a yellow kurta and white pyjama, could be seen sitting on his maternal uncle’s lap as he tasted the first morsel of rice while his mother, Ishita, showered him with tons of kisses.

In another glimpse, the baby boy was seen eating food from his grandfather's hands. Further, in the subsequent pictures, we caught a glimpse of Vaayu's scrumptious cake adorned with cutesy motifs and the plate full of Bengali delicacies served to the baby boy. Along with the pictures, Ishita penned a heart-warming note, which can be read as:
“Happy 6 months my baby. Vaayu’s Annaprashan ceremony. For those who don’t know it’s a Bengali traditional ceremony which also known as the rice ceremony where solid food is introduced to the baby by his mama for the first time. Off course the baby is too small to eat so we only touch the food to introduce him to flavours.”

Back on November 21, 2023, Ishita Dutta shared a few pictures of her on her social media handle as she enjoyed her first vacation with friends after the birth of her son, Vaayu. The diva visited London and enjoyed her time. However, she was continually reminded of leaving behind her baby boy, as a result of which she faced mom’s guilt. Expressing her emotions through her captions, Ishita wrote:
“First trip post pregnancy, first trip without Vaayu and my first trip to London. I laughed, I cried, I ate, I slept, I danced, I walked, I shopped and I finally felt like myself again…Yes I was dipped in moms guilt and yes I did have fun and yes I will do this from time to time for myself, but all this happened only cause of my amazing husband, my parents and in-laws who gave me the confidence to leave my 4 month old. Thanku for making this happen and Thanku for pushing me to do this for myself…”

Being a newbie mommy is exceptionally challenging since the woman not only looks after herself but also has to be present for every need of her child. Previously, in an interaction with The Indian Express, Ishita spoke along the same lines and revealed how she manages to carve out time for herself amidst it all. In her words:
“That has been my focus from day one. A lot of mothers go through guilt but one needs to be happy to raise a happy kid. If you have a support system, I feel every mother and father needs to step out and spend time alone and as a couple. I didn’t even wait for 40 days and decided to go out in 2-3 days, because I was so overwhelmed and emotional.”
We are in love with the cutesy glimpses of Vaayu’s annaprashan ceremony!
