Now that the legal drama involving the film, Ghooskhor Pandat is dominating headlines, Indian singer and rapper, Santy Sharma, has come forward to share his opinion on the following. According to him, the title is derogatory toward a specific community. He shared being a Brahmin by birth and a Pandit by karma; he found the representation offensive and unnecessary. He added that the makers of the film could have chosen something neutral for the title. Who is Santy Sharma?

According to a report by Starsunfolded, Santy Sharma was born on September 9, 1996, in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. He completed his schooling at Saraswati Vidhya Mandir. Later, he completed his BSc in Computer Science from Arihant College, Ratlam. Santy is considered one of the youngest, finest and leading rappers from Ratlam. Since childhood, he has been singing and rapping.

According to the same outlet, in 2015, Santy released his first audio on streaming sites, but never released the song officially. Next year, in 2016, he released his debut song, Suni Suni Ladko. He received a lot of attention with his second song, Udaan. His songs, Pyaar Nahi Karoge and Koshish, became popular and earned him a dedicated fan following. Apart from music, Santy is a self-taught entrepreneur and runs a digital marketing company named DigitalYoog Media.

Santy Sharma is unmarried and has two siblings

According to a report by Starsunfolded, Santy is unmarried. He has two siblings, a brother, Umesh Sharma and a sister, Krishna Sharma. He is the youngest son of his parents, Rameshwar Sharma and Bhagwati Sharma.

Santy Sharma slammed the Ghooskhor Pandat makers over their title choice

On February 8, 2026, Santy issued a joint statement along with his team, protesting against the makers of Ghooskhor Pandat. In the statement, his team mentioned how the rapper and singer criticised the film’s title. According to Santy, the makers deliberately selected the title to target a particular community. An excerpt from the statement can be read as:

"Santy Sharma strongly criticised the title Ghooskhor Pandat, saying that using the word 'Pandat' along with 'Ghooskhor' is disrespectful and hurts the sentiments of the Brahmin and Pandit community. He stated that he is a Brahmin by birth and a Pandit by karma, and therefore finds such representation offensive and unnecessary. According to Santy, the filmmakers could have chosen many neutral titles, but deliberately selected one that targets a particular community."

Santy also questioned how the title was promoted without proper registration. The rapper shared that in today’s world, targeting a specific community has become a trend. He added that if these types of trends go on, then it may create social divisions. The statement can be read as:
