'Inspector Tasha' In 'CID', Vaishnavi Dhanraj Faces Physical Abuse From Her Family, Seeks Help

Popular television actress, Vaishnavi Dhanraj accused her family of physically abusing her. She also filed a police complaint and sought help from everyone around her.

'Inspector Tasha' In 'CID', Vaishnavi Dhanraj Faces Physical Abuse From Her Family, Seeks Help

Popular actress, Vaishnavi Dhanraj rose to fame with her role as 'Inspector Tasha' in CID. Apart from this, she was also seen in many shows, including Sasural Simar Ka, Bepannah, Tere Ishq Mein Gayal, Apki Nazron Ne Samha and many more. Recently, she accused her family of physically abusing her and asked for help from her fans. Thus, her video is going viral on social media. In addition, she also spoke to a portal and revealed more details about the same. 

Vaishnavi Dhanraj asks for help and accuses her family of physical violence towards her

Recently, Vaishnavi Dhanraj took to her IG stories and shared a video of herself, which she shot inside the Kashimira police station. She was seen in a devastated condition and was heard accusing her family of physical abuse. Not only this, the actress also showed bruises and injury marks on her face and body. Furthermore, the actress asked for help from everyone and said:

“Hi, this is Vaishnavi Dhanraj. I really need help right now. I’m in Kashimira police station and I’ve been abused by my family and I’m hit very badly. Please I need help from everybody from the media, news channels, and everybody in the industry. Please come and help me.”

In an interview with Telly Chakkar, Vaishnavi revealed that her family did not allow her to step out, speak about the things that happened with her. She revealed that they were trying to control every movement of hers. So much so, that she was not even allowed to talk on calls. But she took the courage to go to the police station and file her report against her family. It was only after the FIR that the actress could feel safer as they were not allowed to touch or hit her. Moreover, she revealed that she has been going through all of this for years now and expressed:

“This has been happening with me from the childhood. It was not this severe earlier. But yes, they have always wanted to know which friends I make, people I talk to, the shows I select. I have never been in this profession to earn money. I am a person who is driven by passion and they have been interfering in my decisions. I have told the police that this is my house and I want my family to move out. For now they are living here but the police have told me that if at all I feel uncomfortable, they will have to go. The police have been extremely supportive and kind.”

Kashimira Police have summoned Vaishnavi's mother and brother and also warned them

Moreover, we got hold of an IANS report, wherein an official from the Kashimira Police Station confirmed that Vaishnavi has lodged a non-cognisable complaint against her family members. The official also mentioned that they have summoured the actress' mother and brother, and have also warned them not to indulge in any such behaviour. The police official can be heard saying:

"We have summoned her mother and brother and warned them against indulging in such behaviour at home. Since it’s purely a family dispute, we have filed an NC and allowed them to go."

Vaishnavi got divorced from her ex-husband on the grounds of marital abuse

Coming to her personal life, Vaishnavi Dhanraj was married to a popular TV actor, Nitin Sehrawat, for four years. They first met on the set of Nitin's show, Kitni Mohabbat Hai Season 2, and then tied the knot after a year of courtship. However, their wedding didn't last for more than four years, and they separated in 2016. As per a report, the couple got divorced based on emotional disconnect. Moreover, in an interview with Spotboye, Vaishvani had revealed that she divorced Nitin on account of domestic violence. She was heard as saying:

"He wouldn't have killed me, probably, but I got so scared that I ran away from the house. He had beaten me so badly that my leg was bleeding. That was my last day as his wife - emotionally, physically and mentally. I eventually got a divorce."
