The cow was adored with a multicoloured cloth, with several kumkum handprints and a flower garland. In the video, the cow was seen entering the house and being welcomed by the family with food. For the unversed, cows are an important part of Sanatan Dharma. Serving the cow is considered equal to serving the almighty. During a housewarming ceremony, the cow is first taken into the new house to bring prosperity.

Several users also pointed out how the animal in the video was an OX and not a cow. A user pointed out the duality of people in the comment section and wrote:

"I bet people in the comment would be applauding if it was a dog or a cat, it's his house and his money he can afford, and this wanna-be white Indians couldn't swallow it; pretty fascinating."
