Indian Idol 15: Manasi Ghosh Emerges Winner, Takes Home Rs. 25 Lakh, Says 'I Am Planning To Spend..'

Indian Idol has been a pioneer in making music competitions popular on Television. After winning the hearts of fans for 14 seasons, it came up with its 15th season in October 2024. For five months, talented contestants impressed fans on the show, and it finally ended with an entertaining finale. The show got a new winner for the season in 24-year-old Manasi Ghosh, who managed to beat Sneha Shankar and Subhajit Chakraborty to win the title. After winning the title a while ago, Manasi shared her future plans with the media. 

Manasi Ghosh opens up about her plans to spend the show's prize money 

Indian Idol 15 winner, Manasi Ghosh won the prestigious title of being a winner. She also got Rs. 25 Lakh and a brand-new car. The 24-year-old was delighted with the win and shared that her life has changed in a good way with her win on Indian idol. Moreover, the young singer has already stepped in the industry and recorded a duet with Shaan and Lalit Pandit. Recalling her feelings and her family's response, she told the Screen:

"My family was here for the finale. They were crying and cheering. I was blank, not knowing initially how to react. But all of us are really happy. Life has changed in a good way. It's a national platform, so I got a lot of love and blessings from all over."

Apart from expressing her delight, Manasi also shared that all three judges, Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Badshah, were honest in their feedback on her singing. But, particularly, Vishal was upfront with his review and was the first to give a standing ovation when he liked her performance. Manasi and her family previously revealed on the show that she had decided to provide her parents with a better life as a kid. Sharing her plans to spend the prize money, she said: 

"I'm planning to spend my winning amount on my individual music and will put in some funds."

When Sony TV's official social media handle shared a official post announcing Manasi Ghosh, fans were delighted at her win. One netizen pointed out how she is the second female to win Indian Idol after Sourabhee Debbarma in the fourth season and penned, "2nd female Indian Idol after season 4Manauushi deserved it's since 1." Another user wrote, "The trophy is coming to West Bengal."

Manasi Ghosh, known as 'Idol Ki Crazy Girl, ' hails from Kolkata, West Bengal. She has been passionate about music since childhood and decided to become a professional singer in class 8th. From then on, she worked hard and participated in many singing competitions. On the show, she gained fame for her versatility and sang classical to modern pop songs. In a special episode on the show, her parents revealed that she decided to look after the family's finances at a young age, and said: 

"I will buy you many houses."
