Rachin Ravindra creates history in New Zealand’s semi-final match against South Africa in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The 25-year-old batsman hit 108 runs in 101 balls and played a crucial role in taking his team, New Zealand, into the final against India. Rachin scored the second century in this tournament against SA, and his first one came against Bangladesh. After hitting a century against South Africa, Rachin has become the youngest player in world cricket to hit five centuries in ICC ODI tournaments, which is truly an exceptional feat.
Rachin Ravindra is now the youngest player to have five tons to his name at the age of just 25. Not only this, he is also only the second player after Sachin Tendulkar to have seven 50-plus scores in ICC tournaments. The cricketer was born on November 18, 1999, in New Zealand’s Wellington. Rachin Ravindra’s father, Ravi Krishnamurthy, is a software architect, but not much is known about his mother, Deepa Krishnamurthy. The young cricketer made his debut for New Zealand on September 1, 2021, against Bangladesh. Rachin’s ODI debut came against Sri Lanka on March 25, 2023, and Test debut on November 25, 2021, against India.
