Imran Khan became a hot favourite of all the ladies as he debuted in the Hindi film industry with the film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na alongside Genelia Deshmukh. Soon enough, Imran Khan became the face of romcoms and featured in movies like I Hate Luv Stories, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Delhi Belly, and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, among many others. Unfortunately, many of his films tanked at the box office, and Imran Khan exited the industry. His last hit film was Amir Khan's production, Delhi Belly.
For the unversed, Aamir Khan and Imran Khan are related to each other. Imran is Aamir's nephew, that is, the former is the latter's sister's son. So, time and again, Aamir Khan has extended his support towards Imran and even helped him combat his career difficulties. And it seems like Aamir Khan will yet again help Imran Khan in his comeback.

Imran Khan has reportedly finalised the film via which he will be making a comeback in the Hindi film industry. His last film was Katti Batti in 2015, after which he retired from the industry. According to reports from Peeping Moon, a source close to Imran has revealed that the actor has already signed a film, Happy Patel, which will be directed by ace comedian, Vir Das.
The source also added that Aamir Khan is producing the film, and shooting has already begun in Goa. Imran will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar in the film. This film also marks Vir Das's debut as a director. Talking about Imran's comeback, the insider added:
"Imran has finally locked in his comeback project, nearly eight months after he hinted at the possibility of returning to movies last year. He will star in and as Happy Patel in a quirky comedy produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film is a laugh-riot and is set in a familiar yet uniquely fresh world, reminiscent of Imran's previous works. Shooting has already commenced in Goa."

On the personal front, Imran Khan has parted ways with his wife, Avantika Malik. The two were childhood friends and tied the knot in 2011 but a few years down the line in 2019, the couple parted ways. After this, Imran was single for some years but now is in a steady relationship with Lekha Washington. Talking about his relationship with Lekha, Imran stated:
"The speculation that I'm romantically involved with Lekha Washington is true. I'm divorced and have been separated since February 2019. Lekha and I grew close during the lockdown, a year and a half after I had been separated from Avantika and almost a year after she had separated from her partner, not her husband, as it has been widely reported. There's this narrative of Lekha being a homewrecker, which infuriates me, because not only is it misogynistic but it also takes away my agency as an individual."
