Ileana D'Cruz Opens Up On Keeping Silent About Her Breakup With Andrew Kneebone

One of the perils of being in love is that it can fade away with time, lack of understanding or simply by ignorance. Getting your heart broken is one of the many gifts of loving someone. However, the choice is yours whether you want to learn from it or cry because of it for the rest of your life. Bollywood actress, Ileana D'Cruz is from the former category as she put on the brave face after her shocking breakup with boyfriend, Andrew Kneebone, whom she used to lovingly call 'hubby'. (Recommend Read: K.G.F. No one had thought that this beautiful couple will part their ways.

Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Ileana shared that she never really talked about her breakup in the media is because she respected her partner's privacy. She also stated that the things written about her breakup with Andrew had affected her and that's the reason why she didn't talk much about what went wrong in her paradise. She further shared, "There is always that one interview where something or the other will be taken out of context. Or they will sensationalise one sentence in a paragraph. For me, it's always been about the fact that when you are in a relationship, it's not just you. It's two people. So you cannot be just one person saying stuff. You are technically talking for the other person too and it's not fair. You need to respect their privacy too. While I'm okay dealing with criticism and trolls, it's unfair for the other person to be subjected to that." (Also Read: Inaaya Naumi Kemmu's Smile In A Children's Day Special Picture With Her Bua Is 'Pure Happiness')

A few days ago, in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Ileana had opened up breaking up with Andrew. She had shared that instead of being depressed, she is trying to fight the circumstances and has come out stronger. Instead of relying on people, the actress is trying to find happiness in her own little things. She had also confessed that she was so depressed after the breakup that she had to go to a therapist, who advised her to accept compliments, and so, she has accepted herself and doing well.

Ileana had tried to keep her relationship in wraps for the longest time. However, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, she had opened up about her relationship and had said, "Initially, I was told to not speak about my relationship. And while I don’t have an issue talking about it, it’s unfair that people are being unnecessarily harsh to him (Andrew). It is unfair to subject him to harsh comments just because I am a celebrity. He is entitled to his privacy and respect and he deserves both in equal measure. He is a great person, and it did affect me when people left harsh comments on my social media posts. But I do give it back to nasty trolls."

In a 2018 interview with the IANS, Ileana had revealed that her alleged, husband, Andrew helped her fight her mental condition, and had stated, "Things had got so bad that I was pushing people away. I didn't realise how much I was alienating people. I would constantly refuse to go out when friends would call. At one point, I didn't realise I was at home for a week... After that, I got an ultimatum from him. Now I don't look at life where I'd say: 'Oh gosh, my life's over if I don't have films any more'. My approach is that there's so much more for me to do... It (depression) really was in a way god sent... That depression and that phase in my life, as horrible as it was, was needed in a way to switch things back and change who I was as a person." (Don't Miss: Chhavi Mittal Shares A Droolworthy Picture Of Her Son, Arham Hussein, Chewing His Bottle Cap)
