The actress, best known for her roles in Jalaibee, Benaam, and the reality show, Tamasha Ghar, was discovered in a decomposed state in her Karachi apartment nearly nine months after her passing. The fact that no one, not even her family, cared to check on the late actress for so long has left fans and industry colleagues deeply unsettled. Now, her close friend has released what’s believed to be Humaira’s final voice message.

Humaira’s close friend shares her last voice note

Humaira Asghar Ali was finally laid to rest on Friday, July 11, 2025, attended by only a few people. Days after her burial, the late actress’s close friend and fashion designer, Dureshehwar, released what is believed to be the actress's final voice message. The voice note, sent in September 2024, captures a bittersweet farewell as Humaira can be heard pleading to keep her in prayers, especially for her career. Humaira says:

"I'm so sorry, I was travelling, caught up here and there. I'm so happy tum Makkah me ho. Mere liye bohot saari please... apni cutie si dost/ behen ke liye bohot saari dil se dua karna. For my career, dua me zarur yaad rakhna. Mere liye bohot saari tumhe dua karni hai.”

The heartfelt message has now gone viral across social media platforms, leaving fans emotional and mourning the silent struggles and extreme loneliness the late actress might have endured in her final days.

Humaira Asghar Ali’s landlord discovered her decomposed body

Humaira Asghar Ali was residing in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI, where she tragically passed away. After she stopped paying for several months since 2024, her landlord reached the apartment with the local Gizri police on July 7, 2025, with an immediate vacating order from the court. When repeated knocks went unanswered, the police broke down the door, only to discover the 32-year-old actress’s severely decomposed body inside.

According to the initial post-mortem report, her organs had turned into a black-coloured mass, the brain matter had fully decomposed, and her bones disintegrated on touch. Experts stated that the body showed no signs of fractures or foul play, indicating a likely natural death, although the exact cause remains unknown. Forensic investigations indicate Humaira died around October 2024, which makes it nine months since her demise. 

According to a report by Geo TV, Humaira Asghar Ali is believed to have died around 8 to 10 months ago, based on initial post-mortem findings. Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed confirmed the body was in an advanced state of decomposition and nearly unrecognisable. The actress’s facial muscles had deteriorated, and her fingers and nails had reduced to bone. Her internal organs had turned black, and brain matter was fully decomposed. Insects were found in her hair. Early investigation suggests she died of natural causes.

Humaira’s absence from social media and isolation from both her family and industry colleagues went largely unnoticed for such a long time, reportedly due to her reclusive lifestyle. Reports also indicate that the actress’s family had cut ties with her years ago, and even initially refused to claim her body. Regardless, they eventually attended her last rites as she was laid to rest in Lahore.
