The wrestling industry is mourning the loss of legendary WWE wrestler, Hulk Hogan, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. Hulk reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at his Florida house. Emergency officials rushed to his Clearwater residence after a distress call was made, according to a TMZ Sports report. Now, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) released a statement in memory of the legend, Hulk, who got the brand into the mainstream back in the 1980s.

Hulk's life was filled with controversies. He was twice divorced, and his first wife alleged that he had an affair with the best friend of their daughter. His second wife was 20 years younger than he was, and his third one was 25 years younger. Hulk was known for both on and off-ring actions. His public image did take a blow many times. However, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), after the demise of Hulk, wrote in the statement:

"WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans."

When Hulk Hogan sued World Championship Wrestling

When Hulk had faced a cardiac arrest, the medical services were dispatched with multiple police units that were seen outside his home. A report by TMZ Sports stated that the WWE legend was taken on a stretcher and then in the ambulance. However, did you know that in 2000, Hulk had sued World Championship Wrestling? It was in 2000 when he had a clash with Vince Russo, the then WCW head writer, over a match that he refused to think he lost. Hulk's contract had given him the creative freedom and control, so when Russo nailed him down in a live promo, Hulk waled off. He did sue WCW for breach of contract.

Hulk Hogan's team takes to Instagram to announce the death of the wrestler

A while back, Hulk's team on Instagram shared a snap of the legendary wrestler from the ring, where it seemed like he was celebrating a victory moment. They mentioned that with a heavy heart and deep sadness, they confirm that a legend has been lost. The tribute dedicated to Hulk by his team on Instagram read:

"Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today, surrounded by his loved ones. At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends. May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades.He will be missed, but never forgotten."
