'Hridayapoorvam' X Review: Mohanlal-Sathyan Are Winning Hearts With The Feel-Good Family Entertainer

The wait for Mohanlal's fans is finally over. The Onam fever is on as fans hit the theatres to see their favourite star on the big screen once again. The veteran filmmaker, Sathyan Anthikad's much-anticipated family drama, Hridayapoorvam, has finally been released on the big screens. And keeping with the streak, Mohanlal's fans have taken to social media to share their views on the film within hours of release. And so far, they are loving it.

Hridayapoorvam opens to positive reviews from fans

The Malayalam industry is celebrating the reunion of Sathyan Anthikad and Mohanlal in Hridayapoorvam. The magical duo has come together for the family entertainer nearly a decade later. The film, which also stars Malavika Mohanan in a lead role, finally arrived in theatres today, August 28, 2025. The film opened to a positive reception, earning praise from the audience.

Sathyan and Mohanlal are a legendary duo, known for their timeless classics. Their earlier film collaborations, such as T.P. Balagopalan M.A., Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam, and Rasathanthram, continue to be cherished by fans, and they expected nothing less from Hridayapoorvam. Luckily, the duo has not disappointed, and fans are wholeheartedly lauding the actor and director for the heartwarming story filled with the director's signature mix of humour, emotion, and life lessons. 

Mohanlal's entry in the film once again had the entire theatre hooting. The story is well-written without any unnecessary exaggerations. It doesn't feel stretched and stays grounded in its plot. The performances are convincing, and the narrative flows smoothly. Fans also commended the background music and visuals, which perfectly aligned with the film's tone.
