There are two kinds of people in this world – those who fall in love at first sight and the others who don’t. If you realize you have already fallen for your date, it’s best that you let her know right away. If you’re in love, let it be known! However, it’s extremely important how you build up to the moment. You probably don’t know her very well and you will have to formulate your own unique plan.
Here are a few pointers on how to propose successfully:

Know your girl
Find out her likes and dislikes; what she loves and detests, and incorporate that in your evening together. Drop extremely subtle hints regarding the trouble you went through to make it an interesting date – do not overdo it or it will seem you have done her a great favor. It should sound as if your whole existence dependent on it (ok, that was too dramatic)
Make it interesting
If she assumes you to be a boring 8-8 workaholic who is incapable of doing anything remotely romantic, then this is your chance. Get every romantic bone in you working and bring in the limos, champagne, music, flowers, rooftop and et al. She’ll surely be pleasantly surprised and touched on seeing your efforts.
If your girl likes excitement and surprises, throw in a game for her a crossword puzzle, or a treasure hunt quest or a game of bowling. Plan your time, challenge her and she’ll shine.
Planned vs. Spontaneous
In case the proposal is already on your mind, then you need to be clear with what you are going to say to her. Be completely at ease and be yourself. It is important because you want her to develop feelings for you and not the image you may be trying to pull off. Have a healthy conversation, be funny, talk comfortably, display chivalry and put up your best appearance.

Don’t follow random dating advice
We couldn’t tell you this in the beginning for the obvious reasons. You’ve probably heard a lot of dating advice from friends/colleagues and especially if you’re about to propose to someone, the advice just doesn’t stop coming in. Chances are you might get carried away by the daredevil guy at your office, and think of proposing during a bungee jumping session. Or you might like the idea of Mr. Classic and take your date out to an opera and then pop the question. But what if your date is afraid of heights? Or what if she’s more into rock concerts? Funnily, girls are all the same yet different.
Therefore, let your own imagination take control of you. Plan a nice date and make sure you pay attention to small details, that’s what makes the big difference. It’s your sole job to make your date say yes; make her feel there’s no one who would treat her better.
