Honey Singh Recalled Ajay Devgn's Reaction To Him Arriving Four Hours Late On Set, 'Mujhe Maar...'

Yo Yo Honey Singh, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, is an Indian singer, rapper, producer and actor. He began his career in 2003 as a hip-hop music producer, working in the underground music scene for several years before releasing his debut album, International Villager, in November 2011. The singer has since built a loyal fan base and established a solid presence in the industry, working with some of the biggest names in the film world. In a recent interaction with the media, Honey revealed how he has made changes to his ways so he can withstand the changes in the industry. 

Honey Singh recalled Ajay Devgn's reaction to him being four hours late to Aata Majhi Satakli shoot

Ajay Devgn is all set to bring back the political thrill back to the big screen with his film, Raid 2. However, before the release, the makers released another song from the film, Money Money during a grand launch on April 22, 2025. At the big celebration, the singer of the track, Honey Singh, recalled his experience working with the film's lead, Ajay Devgn, and how the actor reacted to him being four hours late to the set of the hit song, Aata Majhi Satakli from Singham Returns.

The singer revealed that he is not just an fan of Ajay Devgn as an actor but also as a human being. Honey Singh recalled that when he arrived four hours late on the set of Aata Majhi Satakli he had thought he was in deep trouble. However, Ajay met him with great warmth. Honey added that he made up for his mistake by being on time for the shoot of Raid 2 track, Money Money. He stated:

"I am a fan of not just Ajay Devgn the actor but also Ajay Devgn the human being. I want to share a story. I arrived four hours late on the sets of Aata Majhi Satakli. Mujhe laga uss din mujhe maar padne waali hai! But Ajay Devgn sir met me very warmly. I became an even bigger fan than him. On the sets of Raid 2, I came on time (laughs)! Maine apni kaafi galtiyan sudhari hai. I have learned a lot from them, especially if you want to have a long run in the industry."

Honey Singh revealed he made the song, Aata Majhi Satakli in just 24 hours

During the same interaction, Honey Singh recalled that he had made Ajay Devgn's song, Aata Majhi Satakli in just 24 hours. He thanked Bhushan Kumar for the opportunity of working on Raid 2. He further joked that he has only one complaint with the makers: that he is always called at the last minute. He stated:

"I want to thank Bhushan ji for this opportunity. He has always believed in me. I just have one complaint – he always calls me for song at the last minute. You won't believe but I composed Ajay sir’s last song Aata Majhi Satakli from Singham Returns in just 24 hours! Thankfully, for this song, we got more than 24 hours. Raj Kumar Gupta sir, Kumar Mangat Pathak sir and Abhishek Pathak came to Delhi to meet me."

Raid 2 is a crime thriller directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak, and features Ajay Devgn and Ritesh Deshmukh in lead roles. The film is a sequel to the 2018 film, Raid, and brings back Ajay Devgn as 'IRS officer Amay Patnaik', who tracks another white-collar crime against a corrupt politician, 'Dada Manohar Bhai', played by Ritesh Deshmukh. The film is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2025.
