Hina Khan is one of the most beloved faces of the TV industry. Be it her gorgeous looks, her jaw-dopping style statement, her fiery personality, or her acting mettle, Hina has never skipped a chance to leave her fans mesmerised. However, she left everyone shaken when she announced her cancer diagnosis last year, in 2024. Despite the worry and fear that fans couldn't help but feel, Hina always put up a brave front, handling her diagnosis and treatment with the utmost grace. Recently, a heartfelt moment between the actress and her fan went viral, wherein Hina spoke about the power of crying to let emotions out.
Hina Khan has gone above and beyond with her commitment to being transparent throughout her cancer journey. Most recently, Hina had a moving interaction with a fan during an episode of Filmygyan's On Public Demand when the latter revealed that her mother had also been diagnosed with cancer. The young fan was seen opening up to Hina about how she could relate to the actress' journey, having seen her own mother struggle with cancer. While talking, the girl broke down in tears and said:
"And I don't want to cry because you're very strong."
Hina, upon hearing her fan's emotional words, immediately interrupted her to say that crying was never a sign of weakness. Talking about how she, too, had her emotional moments, Hina said:
"But why is it that I’m strong and aap ro rahe ho toh aap strong nahi ho? Aisa kuch nahi hai. Jo rota hai, uska ye matlab nahi hai ki wo strong nahi hai. Main bhi roti hu. Aisa kuch nahi hai. Iss waqt rona nahi aa raha, usse humara koi competition nahi hai. Mere bhi emotional moments hote hai jahan main roti hu."
Hina further emphasised the importance of crying as it healed the body. Urging everyone to let out their emotions, whether alone or in front of others, Hina said:
"Rona kahi bhi weakness ki koi sign nahi hai. It is very, very important to cry. Kisi ke samne nahi, akele mein, jahan mauka mile, cry it out. Your whole body heals. You rejuvenate when you cry, so rona weakness ka koi bhi sign nahi hai. It's okay, cry. I also cry."

Much like Hina's personal battle with cancer, the show's central narrative revolves around themes of existence, survival, and transformation. This will be her first appearance on a television show after getting diagnosed with breast cancer. Before this, she was seen making a guest appearance in Bigg Boss 18 during a weekend episode.

Hina once reflected on the coincidental timing of her comeback to the screen in a chat with News18 Showsha. The actress revealed that the series was originally set to be released in October 2024, but it had to be postponed due to her health condition. Hina further stated that everything fell into place, as she was being called strong for the way she was handling her diagnosis at present, and she was playing a strong woman in the show, too. The actress called it God's plan for things to work out this way.
