For all the fashion experts and amateurs out here, aren’t you always eager to look out for the most coveted fashion shows of the world? To all fashion enthusiastic people out here, remember those days when you used to wait for your mother to go out for that is the time when you would switch into the Fashion TV and watch the models ace the fashion quotient with utmost grace and elegance. Then, we had either imagined ourselves to be one of them, or, we wanted to be the one who made those dresses and walked with the showstopper! And then began our interest in international fashion events such as the MET Gala or Cannes Film Festival, which showcases creativity at its best and we can’t help but drool at our gorgeous stars! Cannes Film Festival and the outfits that our favourite celebrities wear often becomes a subject of our great creativity and contemplation. While faces such as Deepika Padukone, Sonam K Ahuja, Priyanka Chopra is a common phenomenon at international fashion events, for 2019, television actress, Hina Khan made her debut as a fashionista (which she is) in Ziad Nakad grey deep-cut flowing gown, diamond stud earrings and looked beautiful as she smiled, posing for the cameras. Hina kept on posting one picture after the other from her big day and captioned it with #Cannes2019 @festivaldecannes. Here is one of her pictures from the lot:
While Hina Khan did look amazing and we couldn’t help but drool over her look, Filmfare’s Editor, Jitesh Pillai took to Instagram and posted a story, wherein he posted a picture of Hina, who was posing with a pout for the camera and wrote the words, “Cannes has suddenly become chandivali studios kya?" He also posted a cryptic quote as an Instagram story which probably was indicated to Hina Khan. This post immediately created a hullabaloo in the telly industry and innumerous tv stars started bashing Jitesh Pillai for his comment, many calling it derogatory. And just as we were expecting, bang came Hina's boyfriend, Rocky Jaiswal’s reply to Jitesh, who had criticised her on her Cannes 2019 look.
Bashing Jitesh Pillai, Rocky Jaiswal wrote, “Some rats spend their entire lives chewing off the very vessel they live on and it’s not hard to imagine them to be the 1st ones to run if the ship sinks, god forbid. It becomes surprising, however, when the little creatures blame themselves for the unfortunate demise of the mighty ship. Rats don’t sink ships. They live off of it and die as Rats do! Dear Rat, this ship is not just any floater. This ship is unsinkable and your ship my friend, I am afraid, has sailed!”

In yet another Instagram story, Rocky Jaiswal posted a heartfelt message for his muse, Hina Khan and praising her to the core, wrote, “Now I want to talk about the giant heart of a girl I know. Her passion, her dedication, her hardships, her challenges, her leaps, her risks, her hard work, her talent, her journey and her achievements are worth singing laurels! She is indeed the breaker of barriers and stereotypes and a god’s own child who believes in looking ahead rather than backwards. Mediums don’t define her, she’s a phenomenon in and as herself! That’s why we love her! #sherrkhan.” (Must Read: 'Jamai Raja' Fame Sara Afreen Is Expecting First Child After 10 Years Of Marriage, Details Inside)
Amidst all this, we loved the way how Hina Khan handled the commotion! From posting the support that her industry friends have bestowed upon her to her savage replies. This is what Hina Khan had written in the beginning, “#FromChandivaliToCannes This hashtag is love and guess what? I actually started from Chandivali back then.” She posted yet another Instagram story and wrote, “I was persistent, I am constant and I will be efficient again and again and again. Don’t know where I belong, don’t know if I have to, the places don’t define me because as always, I will work my A*# Off and I will make my own place! My promise, a proud outsider from my Chandivali Studio! “
And then came about an array of telly stars like Arjun Bijlani, Ridhi Dogra, Shivya Pathania, Aneri Vajani and others such as Rangoli Chandel and celebrity pap, Viral Bhayani, who gave it back and how to Filmfare's Editor, Jitesh Pillai for trolling Hina Khan. While we will share the screenshots of all the star bashings below, check out Arjun Bijlani’s savage reply to Jitesh Pillai. The same could be read as, “Firstly we r all proud that @realhinakhan is at the Cannes film festival.she has reached there on her own and yes Hina u looked stunning.coming to this derogatory comment firstly mr @jiteshpillaai u being the editor of @filmfare and writing something so ridiculous is appalling.secondly don’t forget that filmfare is telecasted on TELEVISION.why don’t u make a film to show filmfare.show some respect. thirdly don’t ever travel to chandivali I’m sure people their r v upset with u.and lastly u have no right to ridicule anyone especially a woman. And yes u just made her a superstar so thank you..” Also checkout the screenshots which our telly stars have shared:
After much hue and cry, came Jitesh Pillai’s heartfelt apology to Hina Khan, which could be read as, “My apologies to Hina Khan. My Instagram caption has been grossly misconstructed. I would never ever belittle an artist. Those who know me well enough will agree that I am inclusive and always appreciative of talent. My remark was meant to suggest that Cannes has become Bollywood centric, studios like Chandivali etc. are the very studios that I have spent my time as a rookie reporter. I would never run down my wonder years spent in these studios. My sincere apologies to Hina again. I wish you continued success. “ And what looks like it, Hina immediately forgave Jitesh and wrote back, “Dear Jitesh Pillai, thank you for acknowledging it and thank you for your good wishes, wish you the same, regards, Hina Khan.” (Also Read: Shakti Arora's Wife, Neha Saxena Posts A Heartfelt Wish For Her 'Special Man' On His 33rd Birthday)
But what looks like it, all’s well that ends well! And we absolutely love Hina Khan’s big Cannes debut and look? Do you, too? Keep us posted!
