'Bigg Boss 13' Fame Himanshi Khurana's Father Arrested Due To Verbally Assaulting A Naib Tehsildar

Himanshi Khurana rose to immense stardom due to her short stint in the reality show, Bigg Boss 13. Her feud with Shehnaaz Gill on the show was also much talked about. However, it was her long relationship with co-contestant, Asim Riaz that still garners everyone's attention. Last year, she announced her breakup with him. Recently, her family landed in trouble as her father got arrested. 

Himanshi Khurana's father got arrested

Punjabi actress, Himanshi Khurana's father, Kuldeep Khurana has been reportedly sent to police custody by the Phillaur court. He was arrested reportedly for assaulting and verbally abusing a Naib Tehsildar during election duty in Goraya five months ago. According to a report in PTC News, a complaint was lodged against him during the MP elections in Guriya. 

An FIR was filed against Himanshi Khurana's father following a complaint by Naib Tehsildar Jagpal Singh. The complaint stated that Kuldeep Khurana obstructed the official while he was heading to his duty and even verbally abused him. Not just this, he physically assaulted him. The incident was captured on video by a staff member, who was accompanying the official, and it served as evidence in the court.

Now, the court has given the judgement on the matter that resulted in Khurana's arrest. Guraliya Police Station SHO Palwinder Singh confirmed the arrest, noting that the charges involved hindering the work of an official on government duty.

Not only this, reports further claim that Kuldeep was evading arrest despite multiple police raids in Ludhiana. Later, he was finally arrested at his residence. He was taken to court, and he was remanded into custody. He is currently in Kapurthala jail. Meanwhile, the police are investigating the matter further.

Himanshi Khurana's career so far

Himanshi is a renowned Punjabi actress and featured in several hit songs. She has lent her voice to some of the popular songs such as High Standard, and many more. However, she rose to nationwide fame due to her participation in Bigg Boss 13. She even made headlines when she ended her 10-year-long relationship after falling in love with Asim Riaz. However, Asim and Himanshi parted ways in 2023.
