Lizzie McGuire star, Robert Carradine passed away at the age of 71. The actor, who came from the famous Carradine family and grabbed the attention with his acting skills, over the years, left everyone heartbroken over his passing, including his on-screen daughter, Hilary Duff. For the unversed, Hilary Duff worked with Robert Carradine in Lizzie McGuire, wherein the actor was seen as 'Sam McGurie', dad to 'Elizabeth McGurie' (Hilary). Well, with Robert Carradine's passing, Hilary took to her IG handle and shared an emotional note over the passing of the brilliant actor.

Hilary Duff shared two photos of herself along with Robert Carradine, with which she penned a long note. In the note, she revealed being hurt over the passing of her on-screen dad, Robert. She mentioned that it's hard to face such a reality about an old friend.

Hilary further added that there was so much warmth on the set of Lizzie McGuire, and she always felt loved by her on-screen parents. She also shared that she will always be grateful for the experience she had while working on Lizzie McGuire, while adding that she is hurt by learning that 'Bobby' was suffering. Hilary revealed being heartbroken over the news of Robert Carradine's passing. Her note could be quoted as saying:

"This one hurts. It’s really hard to face this reality about an old friend. There was so much warmth in the McGuire family and I always felt so cared for by my on-screen parents. I’ll be forever grateful for that. I’m deeply sad to learn Bobby was suffering. My heart aches for him, his family, and everyone who loved him."

What was the reason for Robert Carradine's passing?

Robert Carradine passed away at the age of 71. His brother, Keith, revealed the reason for his passing. As per The Guardian, the actor had been suffering from a mental health issue for two decades now. The report further claimed that the actor passed away by committing suicide. Keith, in an interview with The Deadline, revealed that his brother has been suffering from bipolar disorder.

For the unversed, bipolar disorder is a chronic mental health condition. In this condition, the victims suffer from extreme mood swings, ranging from highs to lows. As per Keith, his brother, Robert, has been suffering from this for the last two decades. However, Keith shared that there's no shame in this, and rather, he would celebrate the kind of soul his baby brother had and how he made people feel around him with the light he carried. He further mentioned that he would want to celebrate his brother for the struggle he had with bipolar disorder, and how he managed to be the best version of himself throughout. Keith added that Robert will be missed dearly while revealing that the late actor was funny, tolerant and accepting of a human being.

For the unversed, Robert Carradine's mental health was triggered by his brother, David Carradine's passing back in 2009. David was found in a hotel in Thailand. David was found with two ropes tied around his neck. While it couldn't be confirmed whether it was a suicide or not, David's passing was caused by claustrophobia and heart failure. Later, it was revealed that his demise might have been caused by auto-erotic asphyxiation. Reports revealed that David's passing actually triggered Robert, and he developed bipolar disorder.
