The Deol family is going through the most difficult period in their life as their strong foundation, which was their father, Dharmendra, is no more. The family did their best to give the best treatment to Dharmendra, but destiny had other plans, and he passed away days before his 90th birthday. Now, the first picture of Hema Malini surfaced on the internet after her beloved husband's demise.
On November 27, 2025, a photo of Hema Malini has been making the rounds. It is from her meeting with Ajit Pawar, who met her to offer his condolences after the demise of her husband, Dharmendra, at her home. Hema Malini was dressed up in a white-hued suit with little prints on it. She looked devastated and emotional. The pain of losing her loved one was clearly visible in her eyes.

Hema Malini and her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, were reportedly absent. As per a report published first by NDTV.com, Hema and her daughters were not present at the actor's prayer meet held in Mumbai on November 27, 2025. The prayer meet was organised by the Deol family at Taj Lands End, and saw a large turnout of celebrities.

Bollywood biggies such as Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Ameesha Patel, Sidharth Malhotra, Rekha, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, and many others arrived at the event. Sonu Nigam also arrived and performed some of the iconic songs of the late legend, who passed away at 89.

The NDTV report further claims that their sources revealed that some of the celebrities visited Hema Malini's home in Mumbai after the event at Taj Lands End to offer their condolences to the family during these tough times. Some of them were Mahima Chaudhry, Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, and her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, and more.

Taking to her X account, Hema Malini penned an emotional post and revealed how Dharmendra was everything to her. She called him a loving husband and adoring father of their two daughters, Esha and Ahaana. For Hema Malini, Dharmendra was not just a husband, but a friend, philosopher, guide, poet, and her go-to person. He has been an with her in all ups and downs of life. She wrote:
"He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need - in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them."

Hema Malini further mentioned that it is an indescribable loss and the vacuum created is something that is going to last with her for the rest of her life. She stated that after years of being together, she is left with just memories. She concluded her note by mentioning:
"As a public personality, his talent, his humility in spite of his popularity, and his universal appeal set him apart as a unique icon unequalled among all the legends. His enduring fame and achievements in the film industry will last forever. My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…"
