Hema Malini Expresses Her Grief Over Loosing Her 'Everything', Dharmendra, 'The Vacuum Created Is..'

Veteran actor, Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89, two weeks after he had returned home from the Breach Candy Hospital. The actor was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, and during that time, false rumours about his death spread on social media. However, on November 24, 2025, Dharmendra passed away. With his passing, a silent funeral took place. If the reports are to be believed, Dharmendra's prayer meet will take place on November 27, 2025, which has been titled 'Celebration of Life'. Amid this, Hema Malini penned an emotional note on her husband's passing.

Taking to her X (Twitter), Hema Malini expressed her grief over losing her husband and the legendary actor, Dharmendra. Hema added that Dharmendra was her everything, and her 'go-to' person in times of need, be it good or bad. Hema Malini continued to add how her husband took care of everyone, and he was always with his children, being an amazing father to them. Hema shared in her emotion-heavy note that Dharmendra was her guidance, poet, and everything she could ask for.

Hema Malini further mentioned the massive legacy and mark that Dharmendra left behind with his hard work in the entertainment world. There's no denying the fact that Dharmendra's passing left a void in his wife, Hema Malini's heart, who, in her note, revealed the same, mentioning that she will continue to cherish the memories of them, and the vacuum that is left in her heart will be permanent. To mention, it's the first ever note from the family since Dharmendra's passing. An excerpt from Hema Malini's note can be read as:

"He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need - in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them."

Dharmendra's prayer meet will reportedly take place today

When a legendary actor like Dharmendra passed away, and his last rites were without any state honours, despite him being one of the Padma Bhusan recipients, the attention was hightened about what could be the reason. Later, sources revealed that his family decided to give him a more private and personal farewell. Later, it was revealed that the Deol family had been in talks to organise the prayer meet this week.

As per a recent report by Times Now, the prayer meet will be hosted today, i.e., on November 27, 2025. Dharmendra's prayer meet will take place in Mumbai’s Taj Lands End in Bandra from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. The title of the prayer meet for the legendary actor has been given, 'Celebration of Life'. Several celebrities are expected to join the prayer meet, and reportedly, Sonu Nigam will be singing Dharmendra's songs.

The actor, who came from a humble family and had a headmaster dad, watched Dilip Kumar's movie. Being in awe of Dilip Kumar, he looked in the mirror and said that he wanted to be like him. Well, his manifestation proved real, as he not only became a star but also someone who cannot be forgotten, even though death could take his mortal remains.
