Hansika Motwani got married to Sohael Khaturiya back on December 4, 2022, followed by a proposal in Paris. While the duo often left everyone in awe with their adorable marital life glimpses, it was for the last few months, when speculations were rife that the duo was living separately. Cut to now, in March 2026, it was confirmed that Hansika is divorced from Sohael.

The divorce has been said to be a mutual one, as both of them realised that there were differences in their temperaments, opinions and lifestyles. Amid this, Muskaan Nancy James's cryptic posts surfaced on social media, leading people to wonder whether these were some specific jibes of hers at the actress. Let's have a look at what happened!

Hansika Motwani's ex-sister-in-law, Muskaan Nancy James, drops cryptic posts amid her divorce

For the unversed, Muskaan Nancy James was married to Hansika Motwani's brother, Prashant Motwani, in 2021. It was reported that it was within a year, in 2022, Muskaan was separated from Prashant, while in 2024, she filed an FIR against him in Amboli Police Station, Mumbai, under sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506, and 32 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. She alleged domestic violence, which led her to develop Bell's Palsy. In her FIR, she also accused her then mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Hansika, of interfering in her marital life and demanding expensive gifts.

Later, Hansika came forward and denied the allegations. It most recently happened that Haniska's divorce report grabbed all the attention. Amid this, Muskaan Nancy James's cryptic posts grabbed the attention. In one of her IG stories, she was seen posing with her furbaby, and in the caption, she penned that she has nothing to do with anyone's life. Muskaan further wrote in the note that she has hidden a lot of deep truths. In a follow-up story, Muskaan penned that 'AI is busy in image-cleaning duty'. While it couldn't be confirmed what the purposes of such cryptic notes were, it instantly grabbed the attention, given the timing of the post, as it was only yesterday, when it was confirmed that Hansika is divorced from Sohael and she sought no alimony.

When Hansika Motwani quashed the allegations against her and her family members

It was last year, when Hansika Motwani moved to the Bombay High Court with a petition, wherein it was claimed that Muskaan filed an FIR against the family as a 'retaliatory measure'. In her petition, Hansika had asked Muskaan to repay the Rs. 27 lakh that she had lent to her and her husband, Prashant, for their wedding. She also dismissed the allegation of physical assault and verbal abuse, which were claimed by Muskaan Nancy James.

Haniska claimed that whatever allegations were made were not true, which could be backed by the fact that they lacked evidence. To mention, Prashant Motwani proposed to Muskaan in March 2020. The couple got married in 2021, and he was separated in 2022. The couple's separation buzz began when a post on Reddit went viral, claiming she had deleted all her photos from social media and didn't attend Haniska's wedding. However, in 2024, she filed an FIR.
