The singer had welcomed the Pakistani actress on stage, leaving the crowd cheering. Earlier in April 2025, the duo's fans once again rejoiced when rumours about Hania and Diljit working together surfaced on the internet. While there were speculations that the actress would be seen alongside Diljit in Sardaar Ji 3, the recent attack in Pahalgam seemed to have changed the makers' decision.

The attack in Pahalgam turned Indo-Pak relations even more sour. Since the attack, the government has put several sanctions on the neighbouring country, which has also led to the cancellation of Fawad Khan's much-awaited film, Abir Gulaal's release in India. Following the trend, the speculations now suggest that Hania Aamir will no longer be making her debut in the Indian film industry with Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa's Sardaar Ji 3.

The reports also claim that the makers are looking for a replacement for Hania. It was previously announced that the London shoot for the film was completed in March 2025. However, considering the current developments, they are considering removing Hania's part and reshooting the same with another actress.

A commenter said, "Ab Pak walo ko India se kuch nhi milega na aata na pani na movie kuch bhi nhi." However, the news left some users disappointed as one wrote, "Jinhone kiya unka koi dharam nai phir bekasur logo ko kyu saza mil rahi."

Hania Aamir, on the other hand, shared a post condemning the attack on innocent lives. In her post, she stated that a tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for everyone. She added that her thoughts and prayers are with the people who were affected by the recent events. Her post was quoted as saying:

"Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all of us. My heart is with the innocent lives affected by the recent events. In pain, in grief, and in hope—we are one. When innocent lives are lost, the pain is not theirs alone—it belongs to all of us. No matter where we come from, grief speaks the same language. May we choose humanity, always."
