Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar’s love story has the same old-school charm. They first met on the set of the 2017 film, Verna. The two actors had a very brief meeting and did not even sit and talk for long. However, later on, Hamza texted Naimal and met her at her painting exhibition. Recently, the latter has revealed their love story on the show, Mazaq Raat. She said that Hamza asked her to make a painting for him while they were discussing work. She agreed to make the painting and gave it to him once it was done.
When reports of Hamza and Naimal started making rounds back in 2019, the Pyarey Afzal actor had, back then, revealed in a public announcement that he and Naimal had been ‘platonic friends’ for two years before he asked for her hand in marriage. It's important to note that Hamza Abbasi didn't directly propose to Naimal. According to Naimal, when she went to study abroad, after a few months, Hamza sent a proposal to her family. After receiving the proposal, Hamza met with Naimal's father because nobody from her family was from the entertainment industry. Hence, her father wanted to converse with the actor properly. After Hamza received Naimal’s father’s approval, they got married.

Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar said ‘Qubool hai’ to each other on August 25, 2019. The couple tied the knot in a very intimate wedding ceremony amidst their loved ones and well-wishers. Hamza and Naimal had a two-day ceremony, which included the nikah and walima. Their nikah ceremony was held at Monal, a restaurant located on a hilltop in Islamabad. The following day, they had a walima at the Marriot Hotel Islamabad. On both days, the then-bride's mesmerising looks stole all the limelight.
According to several reports, Naimal Khawar was wearing her mother's nikah joda, a beige-coloured sharara set with buti work all over it and gorgeous golden thread work at the hemline. She did her own makeup and hair, keeping the overall look simple and traditional. On her walima, she opted for a more contemporary white and silver dress with delicate diamond jewellery. Her makeup and hair were minimal yet chic.
A few days before their first wedding anniversary in 2020, Hamza and Naimal were blessed with the best gift of their lives, their son, Muhammad Mustafa Abbasi, on July 30, 2020. During her latest appearance on the show, Mazaq Raat, Naimal shared her thoughts on her husband, Hamza. She expressed her happiness and also praised her husband by saying that she considered herself lucky to have found someone who is God-fearing, which is rare in today's world. Naimal explained that the couple do not engage in fights much, and they both have a similar temperament. If and when they do fight, they resolve it quickly as they are both resolution-oriented.
