Hailey Bieber Reveals She Had Higher Risk Of Miscarriage When She Got Pregnant With Jack, 'Scare...'

They are parents to a baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber. This year, in August 2026, their little boy Jack will turn 2 years old. For the unversed, Hailey shared that she was expecting her first child during her second trimester. In a recent podcast, Hailey shared an unheard facet related to her pregnancy.

Hailey Bieber shares she was diagnosed with a scary medical condition ahead of her pregnancy

Recently, the 29-year-old model, Hailey Bieber, appeared on the SHE MD podcast, hosted by Mary Alice Haney and Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi. During the conversation, she opened up about her pregnancy journey. She called it 'magical'. Hailey shared that she was diagnosed with a risky medical condition, that is a uterine septum, ahead of her pregnancy. For the uninitiated, the uterine septum is a genetic condition where a thin wall forms in the uterus. Hailey recalled how the co-host, Dr. Aliabadi, who was also a gynaecologist, gave her an alert regarding the medical condition. Hailey was quoted as saying:

"It was a surprise. Yeah. So I had a septum in my uterus, and Dr. A kept saying, 'Well, we need to look at this and keep an eye on it before you get pregnant because it could potentially be an issue. I don’t really know. We've got to see. I might have to give you a small surgery for it. Not sure.' And I was like, 'Okay. Well, I’m not thinking about getting pregnant right now, so we’ll just cross that bridge when we get there.' And then I magically got pregnant."

Hailey Bieber reveals that she had a higher risk of miscarriage due to her medical condition

In the same conversation, Hailey shared that her uterine septum was moderate. Her gynaecologist, Dr. Aliabadi, highlighted that with a moderate uterine septum, there was a higher risk of miscarriage during pregnancy. She mentioned that in Hailey’s case, the risk factor was about 25 to 40 per cent. Hailey then added that the situation scared her. Sharing her feelings, Hailey said:

"Which I think was our bigger scare. Because we realised as the baby was growing, the septum it was, you know, expanding. Everything was opening and doing what it needed to do, luckily."

When Hailey Bieber opened up about motherhood

In a 2025 interview with GQ, Hailey opened up about her motherhood journey. She explained that until and unless a woman embraces motherhood herself, no one can prepare them. The Rhode founder shared that after her first experience, she became confident about the whole process. She highlighted that many things had evolved after she embraced motherhood. She added that a lot of things had changed. She was quoted as saying:

"I don’t think there’s anything someone can tell you about it that will ever, ever, ever prepare you until you do it yourself. But I feel much more prepared to do it again, as opposed to how not prepared I felt doing it for the first time. And I think for me personally, there’s so much unknown to it, but so much happens and so much changes and you evolve in a totally different way that you would never be able to prepare for until you do it."
