Meet Guy Fieri's Wife, Lori Fieri, First Meeting At His Restaurant, Doesn't Like His Signature Style

Guy Fieri might not be a professional chef, but the popular restaurateur has established a name for himself in the food and hospitality industry. As a fan-favourite host of an array of programs on the Food Network, Guy Fieri has become an endearing pop-culture icon known for his unique style. However, there is one person who isn't as much a fan of his signature style. It is none other than Guy's wife, Lori Fieri.

As the beloved host, Guy Fieri has been reported to have undergone a major surgery following a terrible leg injury, here's everything to know about his family life. Especially his wife, Lori Fieri, who has been by his side, supporting Guy for over three decades.

Guy Fieri and Lori Fieri met when at a restaurant that he was running

Guy Fieri has been a popular TV figure since hosting his first show, Guy's Big Bite, in 2006. However, his wife, Lori knows him and has been married to him since way before his fame. The two met when he was still only a restaurateur. While Guy was managing a restaurant in Long Beach, California, his path crossed with Lori (then Brisson) in one of the funniest ways possible.

Lori visited Guy's restaurant in 1992 with a friend who had been recently fired from the eatery, he shared with Delish. Guy, as the manager, tried to do damage control, asking them to leave and come back after a few weeks, hoping the situation would have cooled down by then. However, Lori, who was glaring at Guy, defended her friend and said that they won't leave. Despite her anger toward him on behalf of her friend, Guy shared that he knew there was something different about her. Recalling his first meeting with his future wife, Guy said:

"Her friend had been let go from the restaurant, and they weren't supposed to be there. I was talking to her friend and saying, 'Hey, listen, wait a few weeks before you come in,' and standing behind her is this blue-eyed, blonde girl giving me this mean mug. She said, 'You can't make us leave,' and I was like, 'You don't have to'."

Lori Fieri was impressed by Guy Fieri's cooking skills and stayed forever

In the same interview, Guy stated that Lori was driving from Rhode Island to San Diego and wasn't from Long Beach. However, she made Long Beach her home after meeting and falling in love with Guy. And how did the internationally famous restaurateur impress her? With his cooking skills, of course. Guy stated that since they both loved food, the fact that he could cook really won Lori's heart. The Food Network host said:

"That was a long time ago. I don't remember what I made, but I do remember it was quite an epic time. The first time I cooked for her, she was just like, 'You made all this?' We both love food, so being able to cook, that was one of the things that impressed her."

Guy Fieri and Lori have been married for nearly three decades and have two sons

After dating for three years, Guy and Lori tied the knot in 1995 and have been together since. Whether his restaurants became successful or went defunct, he has always had Lori by his side. The couple are parents of two biological sons, Hunter and Ryder, and are also legal guardians to Guy's nephew, Jules. For the unversed, Jules was born to Guy's sister, Morgan, who passed away in 2011. Meanwhile, their biological children, Hunter Fieri and Ryder, born in 1996 and 2005, followed in their father's footsteps and entered the hospitality industry.

Guy Fieri's wife has a problem with signature style

More than his food reviews, Guy is known for his style statement, which is completely unique to him. Since becoming popular as a food host, Guy has always been spotted in flashy shirts, spiked, bleached blonde hair, a dark goatee, sunglasses, and chunky, heavy jewellery, especially earrings. However, Lori isn't a fan of his style and thinks it makes him look like a rapper and not a cook and TV producer.

Guy Fieri undergoes surgery for quad muscle tear

In a statement to Fox News Digital on November 24, 2025, Guy Fieri shared that he tore his quad muscle after missteping on a set of stairs. The food show host stated that his doctor was surprised to see the injury in the 'biggest, thickest part' of the quad. Since then, Guy has been using crutches and wheelchairs to move around. Additionally, he also underwent an emergency surgery. He shared about his injury:

"I slipped down a set of steps and one foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold. So, you know, it extended me out. I looked like I was probably doing the splits, but when my right leg compressed into itself the giveaway point and the doctor said he's never seen—you know, in 20 years—he hasn't seen a tear in the biggest, thickest part of your quad in half."
