'Gully Boy's Siddhant Chaturvedi Gets Slapped By Co-Star, Malvika Mohanan, 'Got Slapped Real Bad..'

Siddhant Chaturvedi's journey to fame began with his role in Zoya Akhtar's film, Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The 31-year-old then wowed the audience with his impeccable performance in Gehraiyaan, sharing the screen with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday. The actor's versatility is evident in his exceptional performances in Phone Bhooot and Bunty Aur Babli 2, among others, leaving the audience impressed.

Siddhant Chaturvedi gets slapped by his co-star, Malvika Mohanan

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malvika Mohanan will soon grace the silver screens with their action film, Yudhra. The film is said to incorporate some never-seen-before action sequence under the guidance of Farhan Akhtar, and movie buff are patiently waiting for it release. However, recently, we learned shocking details from the movie sets.

Siddhant and Malvika recently sat for an interview with ETimes, during which the latter revealed that during the filing of a scene, she slapped the former. Malvika clarified that it was for a movie scene, and it was during the initial schedule of the film. She and Siddhant had not established any friendship by then but the director instructed her to slap the latter. In Malvika words:

“Siddhant got slapped real bad, we shot for this scene in the first schedule of the film, and we were still building our chemistry…In the scene, my character is very pissed with Yudhra’s character, and it was our director Ravi (Udyawar) sir who got extremely excited, and said ‘are tu maar’."

Malvika added that in that scene, it was essential for her to slap Siddhant as otherwise, it would have looked very fake. But after the slap, Siddhanth had to sit with an ice pack on his face. Malvika further added:

“Also, the way the scene was being shot, it would have looked really fake had I not hit him in real …and the very next moment, Siddhant is sitting with an ice pack on his face.”

On the work front, Siddhant Chaturvedi was last seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, co-starring Ananya Panday. The film was well-received, with Siddhant's performance earning positive reviews. He will next be seen in Yudhra, co-starring Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor and more. It will be released on September 20, 2024. The actor also has Dhadak 2 in his kitty.
