Meet Graham Platner's Wife, Amy Gertner, Former Art Teacher, Now Manages His Oyster Farming Business

Graham Platner, an oyster farmer and a military veteran, has been making a lot of headlines since it was announced that he will be running as a Democrat primary in the Maine U.S. Senate. People are surprised to see a common man fighting in the polls and, as a result, have become quite interested in his life. Amid this curiosity, here's everything to know about Graham Platner's wife, Amy Gertner.

Graham Platner's wife, Amy Gertner, was an art teacher before she started managing his oyster farming business

Graham Platner and Amy Gertner recently tied the knot in Autumn 2024, after meeting each other in 2023. They live in Sullivan, Maine, with their dogs, Gryffin and Zevon, and cat, Neptune. They don't have any children yet; however, Graham recently tweeted that they are planning to have kids. As per reports, Amy used to be an art teacher for elementary and middle schools until 2024. However, now she manages Waukeag Neck Oyster Co., her husband's oyster farming company. So they are both life partners and business partners. The official website of the company shared about Graham and Amy:

"Graham Platner was born and raised in Sullivan, where he lives with his wife Amy and their animals. After time in the military, he returned home in 2018 to get involved in oyster farming. In 2019 he took over operation of Waukeag Neck Oyster Company, slowly but sustainably making it a commercially successful small scale aquaculture operation. An inveterate diver and lover of the sea, he also runs a mooring service and serves as Harbormaster in Sullivan."
