Sunita Ahuja Reveals She Has Not Been Living With Govinda For The Past 15 Years, 'Narazgi 100% Hai'

Govinda and his wife, Sunita, garnered the spotlight after the rumours of their separation surfaced in the media. It was stated that Sunita had filed for a divorce at the Bandra Family Court, where she cited cruelty, desertion and adultery. However, the couple dispelled the rumours of their divorce and celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi recently.

Sunita Ahuja reveals she has not been living with Govinda for the past 15 years

In her recent YouTube vlog, Sunita Ahuja reveals she and Govinda have lived in separate houses for the past 15 years. Revealing why Govinda’s affair rumours do not impact her, she said:

“Main aur Chi chi rehte aamne samne hai 15 saal se lekin aana jaana karte rehte hain voh ghar par. Jo achi aurat ko dukh dega voh kabhi sukhi nahi rahega, bechain rahega. Maine bachpan se leke aapni puri zindagi de di usko, aaj bhi itna pyaar karti hun. Narazgi 100% hai kyunki main bhi toh sun hi rahi hun naa. Lekin, main bhut strong hun kyunki mere pass mere bacche hain.”

Sunita Ahuja reveals that Govinda’s family do not wish to see them together

In the same interaction, Sunita also stated that people in Govinda’s family do not wish to see them together, which has created numerous issues between the couple. In her words:

“Problem yeh ki iski family main log hai jo mujhe aur Govinda ko saath nahi dekhna chahte. Vo sochte hain inki family itni khush kyun hai kyunki unke khudh ke biwi bacche marr gaye hain. Govinda acche logon ke saath uthta bethta nahi hai. Toh kya hai naa jaise main bolti hun, agar tum gande logon ke saath raoge toh vaise bann jaaoge. Aaj mera friend circle nahi hai, mere bacche mere dost hain.”

Why did Govinda and Sunita’s divorce resurface in the media?

According to a recent report by Hauterrfly, it was revealed that Sunita Ahuja had filed for divorce from Govinda at the Bandra family court in December 2024. She moved the case under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion as grounds. Govinda was reportedly called by the court on May 25, 2025, and since June 2025, the couple has been undergoing court-mandated counselling. The same report also revealed that while Sunita Ahuja attended the court hearings, Govinda had been missing them.

As the divorce buzz led the headlines, Sunita dropped her husband, Govinda’s, surname from her Instagram handle, leaving people confused. Later, she shared why she changed her name and dropped her surname. Talking to TOI, Sunita revealed that the reason was her numerological beliefs, and nothing else.
