Govinda has been one of the most iconic actors Bollywood has ever witnessed. He ruled the '80s and '90s with his impeccable comic timing, unique style, and impressive screen presence. The actor never failed to impress his audiences, but ,his films haven't worked at the box office since the last decade. In his personal life, Govinda married Sunita Ahuja in 1987 and has two children, a daughter, Tina, and a son, Yashvardhan. In a new interview, the actor's wife, Sunita, reveals his reaction when she criticises him.
Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently appeared on the podcast show, Timeout With Ankit. On the show, she discusses her early life, her marriage to Govinda, their relationship over the years, and the actor's career. Sunita revealed that Govinda prefers to be surrounded by people who agree with him, which makes him unaware of the reality. However, she doesn't hesitate to point out the wrong.

Sunita added that Govinda doesn't like her criticism and often says he has enemies in his house pointing towards her. Still, it doesn't stop her from giving her unfiltered views because she cares for him. She mentioned that she clearly stated to him that a hero always has people around who falsely praise him, but she isn't one of those. In her words:
"I do tell him. He always says, 'Mere ghar me mere dushman hai.' Maine kaha, ‘Hum tere dushman nahi hain, tereko haqeeqat bata rahe hain, sun le. Ek hero ke bagal me chaar chamche hote hain. ‘Waah waah waah waah,’ karne waale. I am not one of those. Sabke paas hote hain chaar chamche.”

In the same conversation, Sunita shared that she is also angry over the 'yes man' around him and asks him to open a separate production house to launch those people. A wife always wants the best for her husband, and likewise, Sunita says she can't falsely praise Govinda and keep him ignorant about the actual criticism when the audience doesn't like it. For the unversed, Govinda has witnessed a major decline in his stardom in the last decade and has often mentioned a conspiracy against him. She said:
"I am always angry at yes men. I said, 'You should start Waah Waah Productions, and launch around four yes men.' I am very straightforward and I often say, 'What are you doing?' I cannot say that my husband is doing great work. If later the audiences criticise, he will ask, 'Why didn't you tell me earlier?' Even so, I will have to listen. So, it is better to speak about it."
