He was the leading actor throughout the 90s and was last seen in Sikander Bharti's 2019 comedy-drama, Rangeela Raja. The actor is no stranger to headlines. However, this is because of an unfortunate incident. According to reports, Govinda was rushed to the hospital after reportedly fainting at his home. Here is what we know so far.

Govinda was hospitalised after losing consciousness at his residence

It was on the night of November 10, 2025, when we saw Govinda leave the hospital after visiting Dharmendra. The actor had driven himself there and looked fine. However, 24 hours later, life has once again shown us how uncertain it can be. According to a recent report by Press Trust of India, the actor was taken to Juhu CritiCare Hospital after reportedly losing consciousness.

Govinda's close friend, Lalit Bindal, shared an update on the actor

In a statement to IANS, Govinda's close friend and legal advisor shared an update on the actor. Lalit revealed that Govinda was taken to the hospital in the early hours of November 12, 2025, after a fainting spell. Lalit shared that the actor was rushed to the hospital and is currently under observation. NDTV further elaborated on the details shared by Lalit Bindal. They added that it was on the night of November 11, 2025, when Govinda became disoriented around 8-8:30 p.m. before losing consciousness.

The news channel shared that the actor was rushed to the hospital at around 1:30 am on November 12, 2025. Currently, Govinda is under observation and undergoing the necessary medical tests. NDTV also confirmed that there have been no updates from the medical team so far, but the actor is in the best hands and receiving treatment. Fans and onlookers gathered outside the hospital as visuals surfaced, while further details about his health condition are still awaited.

Govinda has also been in the headlines for his personal life. The past two years have been extremely challenging for the actor. He was admitted to the hospital in October 2024 after he accidentally shot himself in the leg. The actor has also been in the news for his relationship with his wife, Sunita Ahuja. In fact, there has been divorce buzz surrounding their 38 years of marriage. Many times, the star wife has been vocal about the troubles in her marriage with Govinda. The divorce buzz has also led to several rumours about the actor having an affair.

In a recent podcast, Abraa Kaa Dabra Show, hosted by Bigg Boss 13 fame, Paras Chhabra, Sunita addressed the rumours of her husband Govinda’s extramarital affair. Sunita shared that she too heard that he is having an affair with some Marathi actress, but doesn’t believe in all this. She mentioned that until and unless she catches the duo red-handed, she can’t comment on the matter.
