Govinda's Daughter, Tina Ahuja Says Period Pain Is Psychological 'Only Delhi Mumbai Girls Get Cramp'

Tina Ahuja, daughter of Bollywood superstar, Govinda, made her acting debut in 2015 with Second Hand Husband alongside Gippy Grewal and Dharmendra. While her acting career may not have reached the heights she had hoped for, Tina's versatility in the entertainment industry is truly intriguing. She has not only dabbled in music videos but also worked behind the scenes in films, showcasing her diverse talents. Recently, Tina and her mother, Sunita Ahija, appeared on Hauterrfly's podcast and made some controversial revelations.

Tina Ahuja says that period cramps are psychological

Tina Ahuja is very opinionated, just like her mother, Sunita Ahuja. The mother-daughter duo recently appeared on Hauterrfly's podcast, where she revealed that she is very desi and experiences no period pain. She elaborated that she has a good diet and consumes ghee, which helps her to stay fit and keep all hormonal problems at bay. Tina further added:

"I have a very desi body. I don’t feel back pain and cramps. But, here I see girls always talking about feeling cramps. You eat your ghee, correct your diet, give up unnecessary dieting, sleep well, things get normal. Most of the girls suffer due to their obsession with dieting."

Tina made a remark that period crams are psychological with little to no reality. People have spoken so much about cramps that now, every second, they feel that they have it as they are psychologically affected. Even Sunita Ahuja backs her daughter's claims. Tina added that girls in Mumbai and Delhi have sensationalised the subject and only they suffer from cramps. Drawing comparison, Tina stated that many women in Punjab do not even realise they have menopause. In her words:

"I have stayed mostly in Chandigarh and I have heard only these girls from Bombay and Delhi speak about cramps. Half of the problem comes from setting up these circles who are talking about the problem and sometimes the ones who don’t get cramps also start to feel it psychologically. Women in Punjab and other small cities don’t even realise when they get their periods or undergo menopause. They don’t feel a thing.”

In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Tina Ahuja revealed that her father's career often kept him away during her childhood, and he rarely visited her school. However, Tina's story is one of hope and optimism, as she shared that working with him was a way for her to develop a deeper understanding of her father. Despite the challenges, Tina's bond with her father grew stronger over time.

"People don’t know this, but my dad has hardly come to my school. In my school days, my dad was never around. It was always my mom getting our lunch. He was hardly there. This was one way of me getting to know my dad well. He was either in Hyderabad or Switzerland. So, I started really liking working with Dad. People started giving me extra attention and importance. I had a company, we were doing lots of shows and events with him. Just being busy around him, head to toe."
