Govinda And Sunita Ahuja Are Getting Divorce After 37 Years Of Marriage? Here's What We Know

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been among the most talked-about couples in Bollywood. The actor who rose to fame in the 80s with films like Ilzaam, Tan-Badan, Sadaa Suhagan, Sindoor and more but didn't reveal his marriage for a long time to ensure it didn't affect his career. However, in the last few years, the couple made joint appearances at different shows and spoke about their bond. Tagged as an 'Ideal couple' for over 37 years of togetherness, a new update about their bond has shocked everyone.

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, to seek divorce?

Sunita Ahuja has given multiple interviews and podcast appearances in the past few days. However, Govinda wasn't seen in any one of those. A recent news report by The Now India has revealed that the couple's marriage is in its last stage and they are likely to part ways soon. They may soon head for divorce after 37 years of their marriage. Many other news reports have revealed that the couple's constant disagreements and different lifestyle preferences have caused a serious conflict.

Amid other reasons, ZoomTV has shared a shocking update on the reason for Govinda and Sunita's alleged split. It revealed that Govinda's alleged closeness with a 30-year-old Marathi actress had become the final reason for their major decision to seek divorce. However, neither Govinda nor Sunita Ahuja has made an official statement on the situation. 

Sunita Ahuja revealed she and Govinda live in separate houses

Sunita Ahuja sat down for an interview with Hindi Rush a few days ago, creating a stir with one of her statements. She revealed that she and her husband, Govinda, live in two different houses. Although she later clarified the speculations over their relationship, fans were left curious about their bond. Explaining their separate living arrangement, she said: 

"We have two houses, and we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. He loves talking, so he'll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them."

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja's love story 

Govinda first came across Sunita Ahuja when his uncle married her elder sister. She came from a wealthy background in Mumbai, and he hailed from a small town in Virar. So they used to have a lot of clashes that soon turned into love when she was 15. Soon, their love letters were seen by their families, and the couple got married when she was 18 and the actor was 24. 

But, the actor didn't publicly reveal his marriage to safeguard his female fan following. The couple announced their wedding after welcoming their daughter, Tina, in 1988, and later, they had a son, Yashvardhan, in 1997. During his career, he was linked with a few actresses like Neelam Kothari and Rani Mukherji. However, nothing was ever confimed. Govinda once shared that he regretted keeping his marriage a secret and remarried Sunita on their 25th wedding anniversary as per his mother's love wish.
