Further in the interview, Gippy revealed that even after going to Canada, his wife, Ranveet would earn more than him, while he would work in different jobs. Gippy share that it was his wife, who asked him to stop working and focus on his singing as he was losing on project due to the work load. He was quoted as saying:
"Mai Canada chala gaya, wife ke sath. Waha bhi vo double kamati thi mere se, mai kabhi is job mein kabhi us job mein. Mai teen-teen jobs karta tha. Then meri wife ne kaha tum job mat kro. Tum job karte ho toh apka na toh riyaz ho raha. Jo ek adha show mil raha toh vo bhi rahe jata tha."
Gippy revealed that during that time, he had to hear a lot of taunts from his relatives and his wife, Ravneet also listened to a lot of mean words, as she was the sole earner in the family. But this didn't affect their relationship as they were best friends more than husband and wife. She was the encouraging factor in Gippy's journey to stardom. And he wanted to achieve it all for Raveent. He said:
"Bahut time mere ko or usko ye sunna pada, ki iski gharwali kaam karti hai aur ye free baitha hai. Yeh cheej sunni badi, jab chal raha hota toh apko lagta hai. But kya tha hum duno ka bond bahut acha tha, husband wife se bhi jada, hum dost the ache. Toh ek dusre ko understand karte the."
In the same interview, Gippy revealed that his wife, Ravneet, supported him not just emotionally but also financially when he wasn't working. She was the earning member of their family. In fact, she had funded his third album, for which he had no money. His wife's money helped him in making the album.
Well, Ravneet is definitely the queen in Gippy's life. She not only helped him build a strong career in Punjabi films but also financially supported him when he had nothing.
