Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been giving us major love goals. Shah Rukh like a loving husband can be seen doing everything in his power to make his college-love-turned-wife, Gauri Khan happy. From following her rules to holding her saree ka pallu, Shah Rukh makes our heart skip a beat and dream to have a man like him. However, the initial days of SRK and Gauri’s love tale were not easy as Shah Rukh had to travel through states and convince Gauri’s parents that he is the best man for their daughter. Since Shah Rukh is a pathani Muslim guy and Gauri had hailed from a family of Hindu Brahmins, their religion had acted as an obstacle in their love story. It was difficult to convince Gauri’s parents for their inter-religion union, but SRK knows how to work his charm. Eventually, Shah Rukh and Gauri were given a nod by her parents and on October 25, 1991, the lovebirds had tied the knot as per Hindu rituals. Since then, Shah Rukh Khan shares a warm camaraderie with his wife, Gauri Khan’s mother, Savita Chhiba, enough that she has a strong control over their house, Mannat.

In an interview with NDTV, Gauri Khan shared how her mother has the remote-control of Mannat and she manages the house from Delhi. Gauri shared that her mother is constantly on call and WhatsApp with the staff at Mannat, supervising the cleaning and managing the house from Delhi. For her it serves dual purpose as it keeps her mother busy and the staff on the go. In her words, “Most of my organisation has been remote-controlled by my mum, who is in Delhi. She is on the hotline with the staff, pictures going back and forth, WhatsApp messages… ‘This space is dirty and this needs a full cleanup, this needs sanitisation’ and all that goes on. It keeps her busy and it keeps my staff in check.” Gauri also shared that she has learned a lot from her mother, Savita Chhiba and she has been a huge helping hand to her. She added, “I have learned so much from her, she is basically handling my home through remote control, via messages and phone calls. She has been a huge helping hand.”
In the same interview, Gauri also opened up on her hubby, Shah Rukh's other side she had witnessed in the lockdown. The star wife revealed that he used to cook food for the entire family in the lockdown. She said, "During this lockdown, we were initially scared to even order any food from outside. So 'ghar ka khana' is made by Shah Rukh himself and we are enjoying it. He loves cooking and I enjoy eating." Gauri had tweeted a throwback picture with her mom and had captioned it as "Happy birthday.. Mom" followed by a heart emoticon. One of the fan pages of Shah Rukh Khan had posted a picture of Savita ji, dancing dressed in a beautiful traditional outfit. “Happy birthday @chhibasavita ma’am. An abundance of good health, happiness and love for many years to come” was written atop the picture. Gauri had reposted the picture on her IG stories and had added Shah Rukh’s song, Deewangi Deewangi from the film, Om Shanti Om in the background.
