'Celebrity MasterChef's Gaurav Khanna REACTS To The Allegations Against Him Of Copying Swiss Dish

Gaurav Khanna left everyone in awe with his skills in Celebrity MasterChef. For the unversed, Gaurav was the winner of the show. Well, it was one of Gaurav's dishes that became the talk of the town. He was accused of plagiarising a sweet dish, and it ended up being a controversy. Well, now after winning the show, Gaurav finally broke his silence about the allegations people made about him copying the Swiss dish.

Recently, Gaurav Khanna sat for an interview with The Times Of India, wherein he was asked about people's allegations against him of copying the Swiss dish. Replying to the same, Gaurav revealed that it didn't at all bother him and he was not even affected. He added that his goal was to make the best dish for that particular episode, which he did, and the judges loved the same. Gaurav also shared that he knows how his dish became the talk of the town and mentioned that he didn't have to say even a word, as it was his guru, Vikas Khanna, who replied on his behalf. Gaurav further stated that he didn't want to react on this matter, as he knew how tough it was to make the dish, which he could finally do. In Gaurav's words:

"I didn’t want to comment on it and I did not react to it at all. My job was to make the dish, I did that and people praised it. The dish was something, which even I thought I would never be able to achieve. It was such a tough thing but I managed to do it."

Talking about the dish, Gaurav Khanna further revealed that the dish was like a dream to him, as he was manifesting it to turn out the best. He also added that as an artist, what needs to be done is to work to a level and then leave the rest to the world. The actor further added while there were negative comments, a lot of positive comments were there as well. He shared that when his guru himself replied on his behalf, he needed not to talk about the matter anymore.

Gaurav shared how everyone can cook daal chawal, but some can prepare them in other ways too, and thus, the arguments about his dish would never end. He further said that he had given his 110 per cent on the dish and he's happy about the results. Saying more about the same, Gaurav Khanna added:

"Everyone makes Dal chawal, can we cook it some other way, so there is no end to such arguments. Jisko joh accha lagta hai karne do, end of the day honestly I gave my 110 percent and I’m happy about that. People saw my efforts and an underdog like me won the show, I feel God has been kind."

When netizens called it 'embarrassing' after Gaurav Khanna's sweet dish left everyone in awe

After a promo featured Gaurav Khanna's sweet dish, and the judges' reactions to the same, they quickly called it out and pointed out that the dish was copied from a Swiss-based chef. Even the chef himself shared his dish, which was kind of similar, by calling it the 'OG'. The chef also subtly took a dig at Gaurav Khanna's dish. Later, when the controversy intensified, chef, Vikas Khanna came in Gaurav's support.
