Uttaran fame and ex-Bigg Boss contestant, Gaurav Chopra got married to Hitisha Cheranda on February 19, 2018, in a secret wedding. The news left everyone baffled, not just because his wedding was a surprise affair but also because of Gaurav’s controversial love life.
Gaurav’s fans know that he was in a relationship with Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress, Narayani Shashtri eight-years back. Post his breakup with her, he was linked with Narayani’s friend and Naagin fame, Mouni Roy. Both the relationships failed, and now we can finally and safely say that Gaurav is a settled man.
Now, post-Gaurav and Hitisha’s secret wedding, everyone is eagerly waiting for their reception. Talking to Pinkvilla and revealing about the reception ceremony and his honeymoon plans, Gaurav was quoted as saying, “In Bengaluru, we will be throwing a small party for friends and family, a few celebrities from Mumbai will be coming too. As of now, we are done with the number of events, in Delhi, and since Hitisha is from Bengaluru, we are doing something there. Post this, we fly off to Europe for our honeymoon. If, after all this, we have stamina left, we will see if we can throw a reception in Mumbai.”
When probed further about the guest list and on being asked if he would invite his exes, he maturely replied, “Friends are all invited. They were invited before, they will be invited now. You don't look at them as exes, you look at them as friends. That is how it should be, right? If someone was your girlfriend before and now is just a friend, you don't look at them as somebody you dated once.”
Earlier talking to the Hindustan Times, Gaurav talked about Hitisha, and shared, “Hitisha is a very gracious person and is handling all this with a lot of grace. I didn’t know this would get leaked. This is new for her and this is what I was protecting her from. The reason why I decided to keep her away was not because I was hiding her but because I was protecting her, and the situation as well.”

On being asked as to why he kept his wedding a secret, Gaurav opened up, “Don’t even start on that. People are making me feel bad, like I have betrayed them. There are people who are saying that, ‘I am not eating for two days,’ there are people who are saying that they are crying when they see the pictures. I would tell them that I am the same person as before.”
In another interview that Gaurav gave to Bombay Times, he revealed more about his wedding, and added, “The marriage was purely dedicated to my family. It was as traditional as it could get with me on a chariot in my baraat. I followed all the rituals as I was told. Main ek achhe bete ki tarah sab karta raha. Given a choice, I would have preferred a destination wedding, but it was always supposed to be a close-knit affair. It’s more of an arranged match and I fell for Hitisha’s simplicity.”
Now that Gaurav and Hitisha are married, we can’t wait to get our hands on their reception avatars.
