Gal Gadot Felt She Was Going To Die, Being Diagnosed With CVT Brain Clot During 8 Month Of Pregnancy

Hollywood's 'Wonder Woman' became a mom for the fourth time in March 2024, as she welcomed her daughter, Ori. The gorgeous actress took to her social media handle and announced the 'good news' to her fans. For the unversed, Gal Gadot married Jaron Varsano on September 28, 2008, and they are parents to four daughters, Alma, Maya, Daniella, and Ori.

Gal Gadot recalls being diagnosed with a CVT brain clot during the 8th month of his fourth pregnancy

Well, Gal Gadot's fourth pregnancy wasn't easy. She recently recalled a testing time in her life during her fourth pregnancy, and how she felt like she was going to die. The actress recently graced the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball gala and received the Hollywood Icon Award, and talked about being diagnosed with a CVT brain clot.

According to Variety, Gal Gadot shared that last year, when she was in the eighth month of her fourth pregnancy, her life took an unexpected turn. The actress shared that she was juggling work, family, and everything when she suffered a severe headache, which was pretty intense. Following this, her mom advised that she should opt for an MRI, to have a look at the cause of it. She said:

"Last year, my life took an unexpected turn. I was eight months pregnant, juggling family, work and everything in-between when I started to feel the kind of headache that makes the world stop for three weeks."

Gal Gadot revealed that when she returned from the hospital, she got a callback from the hospital, asking her to be back there as it was pretty urgent. Later, she got to know that she was diagnosed with a CTV brain clot. A Cerebral Venous Thrombosis brain clot is a form of clot that occurs in the venous sinuses of the brain, which are responsible for draining blood from the brain.

Gal Gadot said that for a moment her world just stopped, and she could not understand anything. She mentioned that she felt like she was going to die, and was worried about her then-to-be baby's safety. Sharing that in her mind, she was questioning if doctors would be able to save her, Gal Gadot said:

"Before we even got back home, my phone rang and my doctor said, ‘You need to come to the hospital right now. It’s serious. You have a massive brain clot.’ From that moment, I just could not understand anything. English was out the window. My husband was speaking to different doctors, and all I could think was — am I going to die? Is this how it feels before you die? Are they going to be able to save me? Is the baby going to be okay?’"

Well, Gal Gadot and her daughter, Ori could be saved. After the delivery of her fourth daughter, when Gal Gadot woke up, she felt that she had been given two gifts: one was her daughter, and the other was another chance for her to live. It was in March 2024, when taking to her IG handle, Gal Gadot announced the birth of her fourth child. She shared an adorable photo of her then newborn from the hospital room. She revealed in the post that her pregnancy was not easy, but they made it through, which led them to name the little one 'Ori', which means 'My Light' in Hebrew. Gal Gadot's fourth pregnancy was a private one, and it was not until Ori's birth that the actress made it public.
