'Final Destination Bloodlines' OTT Review: Fans Call Carmen's Film 'Diabolical And Mean-Spirited'

Final Destination Bloodlines is an American supernatural horror film. It is the sixth instalment in the fan favourite Final Destination film series. However, it has been released after a solid 14-year gap after Final Destination 5 was released in 2011. The film was released on May 14, 2025, May 15, 2025 and May 16, 2025, in the UK, India and the US, respectively. And now, it is available to be streamed on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, on August 1, 2025. So, let's take a look at whether the film is worth watching this weekend.

Final Destination Bloodlines leaves fans on the edge of their seats

What will you do if your loved ones start losing their lives to weird accidents? If an evil spirit is targeting your family? Well, Final Destination Bloodlines is here to make you experience the fear of the same. The story follows a college student, 'Stefanie', who suffers from a recurring nightmare. However, it is not just a simple nightmare but a violent chaos which haunts her waking hours. Nonetheless, when 'Stefani' returns home in hopes of finding a way to stop a fatal chain of events, she herself lands in a mess she doesn't know how to get herself out of.

The movie explores the idea of escaping death and breaking a cycle. However, the eerie journey of 'Stefani' will make your blood run dry. The suspense and the promise of murder will not let you sit in peace. The makers have taken it up a notch by adding extreme graphics, blood and gory details, making it a true horror film. While some viewers might be repulsed by the excessive use of such graphics, others are thoroughly enjoying the same. Moreover, it is the lack of character development which left some viewers disappointed, but not enough to not make a night out of it.

Netizens react to Final Destination Bloodlines

As soon as Final Destination Bloodlines was released on the OTT platform, fans started taking to their social media accounts to share their views on the same. A user penned, "FINAL DESTINATION: BLOODLINES is one of the most diabolical and mean-spirited entries of the franchise. It's got some utterly absurd Looney Tunes-level kills. It's often too self-referential and unserious to the point of parody, though." Another wrote, "As a fan of the franchise since seeing the first one in the theatre at 17 years old, I thought Bloodlines was great. On par with the original. By far the most emotional and most likeable characters."

A comment read, "It's worth every penny." A user wrote, "It’s better than the original by a fairly large margin. I don’t know why people hold the first 2 in such high regard. I think 5 and 6 easily are the best of the series. Nostalgia is the only thing I can think of for why anyone would say the first and/or 2nd ones are the best." A user stated, "Bloodlines was a good movie. It had much more of an emotional impact, in my opinion, because everyone was related. But I felt that the main survivor group is by far the least successful in their attempts."
