The Filmfare Awards have long stood as the heartbeat of Indian cinema, as it is the night where talent is recognised and appreciated. The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025, held in association with Gujarat Tourism on October 11, 2025, was no different. From emotions to unforgettable performances, the evening witnessed a lot. Amid all the buzz around it, here is a list of all the winners who took home the iconic Black Lady.
October 11, 2025, was truly a golden night for Kiran Rao's film, Laapataa Ladies, which dominated the entire Filmfare Awards 2025. The heartwarming story about women finding their identity and freedom in rural India impressed both fans and critics. The film was nominated in 24 categories, and it won 13 awards, including Best Film and Best Director. The 2024 film won awards in major categories like Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue, Best Music Album, Best Lyrics, Best Director, Best Background Score and Best Costume.
Apart from this, actors who won awards for this film were, Chhaya Kadam for Best Supporting Actor (Female), Ravi Kishan as Best Supporting Actor (Male), Pratibha Ranta for Critics’ Award for Best Actor (Female) and Nitanshi Goel for Best Debut Actor (Female). Lastly, Arijit Singh took the award home for Best Playback Singer (Male) for Laapataa Ladies.
Apart from the record breaking win of Laapataa Ladies at the 70th Filmfare Awards, a lot of actors and actresses walked home with the iconic Black Lady. For the Best Actor category, it was a tie between Abhishek Bachchan for I Want To Talk and Kartik Aryan for Chandu Champion. This award marked the first ever Filmfare award of Abhishek Bachchan in 25 years. Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award for her role in the film, Jigra. Lakshay Lalwani took home the award for the film, Kill, in the category of Best Debut (Male). Talking about the Critics' Award, Rajkummar Rao bagged the award for Srikanth in Critics' Best Actor (Male). Shoojit Sircar's I Want To Talk won the award for Critics' Best Film.
The Filmfare 2025 night also appreciated brilliance in writing, editing and musical departments. Ritesh Shah and Tushar Sheetal Jain were given the award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film, I Want to Talk, while Aditya Dhar and Monal Thakkar took home the award in Best Story category for Article 370. Madhubanti Bagchi (Stree 2) won the award for Best Playback Singer (Female). The Best Sound Design and Best Editing was awarded to Kill (Subash Sahoo and Shivkumar V. Panicker), Munjya won the Best VFX award and Bosco-Caesar won the awards for Best Choreography for the song, Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz.

The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 was held in EKA Arena, Ahmedabad, on October 11, 2205. According to the clips on social media, the event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, who managed to keep the audience entertained for hours. Apart from all the awards, the magical night saw beautiful moments like dance performances by Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan and more. The most loved on-screen jodi, SRK and Kajol danced on Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai after 27 years.
