Fawad Khan is one of the most admired stars in his country, Pakistan, and abroad. During his stint in Bollywood, the actor gained a decent following for his looks, acting, and versatile roles. However, after Pakistani actors stopped working in Bollywood, he wasn't seen in any Hindi film. Since the last few days, reports have been doing rounds online suggesting that Fawad Khan is set to return to Bollywood. Recently, he sat down for an interview with Bollywood Hungama and shared updates on it.
After an eight-year absence from Bollywood, reports suggested that Fawad Khan has signed a Bollywood film. The actor's last Bollywood project was the 2016 film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was loved by fans. Now, when the news about him starring in a rom-com alongside Vaani Kapoor went viral, fans have been waiting to know more about it. Fawad accepted that there were discussions about his comeback project, and he would inform the media when there will be any major progress. In his words:

“Baatein ho rahi hoti hain. Again, kuch concrete hoga toh main zaroor aapko bataunga, aapke saath share karunga. Kis tarah main chhupa sakta hoon?”

A few days back, Filmfare reported that Fawad Khan had signed a Bollywood project alongside Vaani Kapoor. In addition, it spilled some more details about the production. It mentioned that the shoot for the new project would begin in September 2024, and the shoot would take place in London. However, there was no confirmation from the actors.
In addition, Bollywood Hungama had reported that the Hindi film would be an international project filmed outside India. Moreover, it would be a debut collaboration for Eastwood Studios. The plot would be based around two broken people who come together by coincidence and end up falling in love with each other.

On the work front, Fawad Khan was seen in Pakistan's highest-grossing blockbuster, The Legend of Maula Jatt, and later, Money Back Guarantee. He will next be seen in ZEE5 and Zindagi's Barzakh. Moreover, he is working on Pakistan's first Netflix project, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. In addition, the actor will be seen in Neelofar, co-starring Mahira Khan.
