Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur are dominating the headlines currently. Rumours had been stirred on social media about Abhishek and Nimrat's affair. A clip of an interview of Abhishek and Nimrat with Faridoon Shahryar went viral on social media, leaving fans buzzing with speculation. However, the host of the interview, Faridoon Shahryar, came forward to support Abhishek and Nimrat, saying that the video was presented in the wrong way.
Nimrat and Abhishek were present to promote Dasvi at the Faridoon Shahryar's show. The host congratulated the duo on the show for Dasvi and also congratulated Abhishek Bachchan for his long and beautiful marriage with Aishwarya. Then suddenly, Nimrat interrupted and said, "Marriage doesn't last that long." Abhishek was clueless by this comment and looked questioningly at Nimrat. Then Nimrat laughed and cleared the air by saying that she was joking. There was no deeper meaning in her words, the actress said. Then, the host, Faridoon, continued with his questionnaire. But Nimrat's comment made a severe impact on the fans.

However, amid the rumours, the host of that same interview, Faridoon Shahryar, came forward to support Abhishek and Nimrat Kaur. He posted a video on his Instagram handle and said that the video clip of the viral interview was being presented in the wrong context. People are misusing that clip to defame Abhishek and Nimrat. He said that one publication picked up the clip, and after that, other publications were writing verbatim.
Faridoon said that Abhishek had asked him how many years he had been working with Bollywood Hungama. To answer that question, Faridoon replied that he had been working with Bollywood Hungama for the last fifteen years. In that context, Nimrat replied that marriages don't last that long, and then Abhishek said thanks. After that, Faridoon brought up the subject of Abhishek and Aishwarya will be celebrating their fifteenth anniversary soon. Faridoon asked people to rewatch the video and requested everyone not to interpret the video in the wrong way. In his words:
"Alright, so here is this clip of my interview with Abhishek and Nimrat, which is currently going viral. This is a separate clip. Now, the context of the way it has been presented is completely wrong. The context is that Abhishek asked me How many years I have been working at Bollywood Hungama for the last 15 years, to which Nimrat replied that marriages don't last that long. The context is completely wrong and once again, this is unethical, and this is wrong."
